Schaumburg Dinner Club

Our friends are supper club fans and are working through all of the nearby supper clubs. We have been tagging along on this adventure. They made a reservation on a Wednesday night which is when they have their broasted chicken and dumplings special which draws a crowd. We hung out at the bar with the locals beforehand and had a very strong old fashioned. The waitress eventually came to the bar and took our orders - we opted for the chicken special though you could also order from the regular menu which features many supper club standards.. When the food was ready they ushered us to the table. The broasted chicken was very good even the white meat was moist. The legs and thighs were excellent. I went with the potato salad but the others got the dumplings and raved about them. The coleslaw was very different - it was sweet and creamy vs. the typical vinegar base.We ended with an ice cream drink the Butterfinger Blast which was more like an ice cream sundae. It was excellent.It was worth the drive.

Looking forward to this place for fish fry. Nicely decorated and staff were really nice and on top of things. We got seated and it was by a door that wasn't used and had random stuff locked away inside ( need to either clean it up or take table away). Food looked good but fish didn't taste . perch had no taste what so ever. The rye bread was the only thing that had taste. The old fashion I had was good.. but nothing to go back for. They have a nice place just need to up their food quality.

It's a good place to go for a great steak. Excellent fish and shrimp as well. Have had a lot of different kinds of food from there and have never been disappointed.

Amazing food! Classic super club dining experience. Delicious fish Fry's, prime rib and broasted chicken. Fantastic old fashioned's. In a spectacular old Victorian building on beautiful Lake Emily. Cash only, they do have an atm.

We literally looked forward to this supper club for months and were so saddened. Made a reservation, told when arrived more than 30 min behind (no big deal if told politely), food practically "thrown" once served, sub-standard at best, almost afraid to ask for ice cream dessert for our grandkids who had been so patient and well behaved...not our fault that it was 20 min before closing as we had made reservations with plenty of time (see earlier problem). Our 10 year old said (she's been to many supper clubs prior) "it's really chaotic and loud here" and she was right. We want to have them and experience, learn and enjoy but this was just a disaster from 10 yrs old to 65 year old at our table. Truly we wanted to like and review differently.

This is by far one of the best supper clubs I've eaten at in quite some time! The ambiance alone being in an older house was a fantastic delight but the owner speaking to me by my first name was more than I could have asked for, felt more like I was her guest than her customer. As for the food and Brandy old fashioned - spot on!Ribeye was cooked to perfection and the filet my wife had, let's just say I was snacking on it when we got home - flavor was amazing.We normally don't finish with dessert because we are too full when we go eat BUT.....they had adult ice cream.So we shared a Kailua Crunch which I must say hit the spot.We will be returning, we will be making reservations as this was a great choice since they were busy on a Friday, and although I'm not sure about my wife, I'll be trying their Prime Rib!Thanks for the wonderful meal!

Solid supper club. Very good food. Seemingly in the middle of nowhere with a view of the lake. Others comments about bartenders are true. Not friendly. However, they do not ignore you. We all hate our jobs, but ya gotta fake it sometimes, man! Especially in the service industry. Tips typically reflect attitude. We would eat here again if in the area, but won't make an afternoon drive to visit.

We walked in around 7 in a Saturday. Place had around 30 people. We were greeted nicely and asked to visit the bar as we were handed menus. We sat down and ordered drinks. The old fashion sweet was fantastic and strong. 5 min went by as our waitress greeted us and took our order. Very friendly and knowledgeable.As we sat and talked for another 5 min we were sat at our table, soups waiting. We both had the prime rib. I had the king and she the queen. Now i understand prime rib, my kind was cooked to perfection-rare medium rare. The Queen was medium rare, also perfect. I wish the queen wasn't literally half fat tissue, but tasted amazing. Literally though, it was half fat. Could've cut half the steak away and made candles.The soups were also fantastic, French onion and stuffed pepper. YummyAll together, very pleasant experience, definitely coming back.

Good people, good food and who doesn't like a Great Lake view. Have a drink, order at the bar and sit down to dinner right after your great server seats you.

The food here is always delicious and service is outstanding. Friday fish and the Saturday prime rib are favorites. I love the old fashioneds!
