Sausage Haus Meat & Deli

My grand father worked in an old time butcher shop in the back of a neighborhood grocery store and this place brought me back to that time. It's so very retro. It's located among neighborhood homes so don't overlook it. We bought some Italian sausage and they were huge. We also got some beef sticks. Both made with fresh homemade casing. Loved everything about the place.

Wowwww, the club sub was amazing!!! We also tried some pies that were delicious. I have a feeling this place will be a new regular.

The biggest treat when coming to Oconomowac is THE SAUSAGE HAUS !!!This place has been here forever and when you walk in you can smell years of smokey delight. No frills.. just simple perfection in meat.We had amazing Ribeyes for dinner one night. Then we stopped in for garlic and Hungarian summer sausage to take back home.We got 2 hot dogs for the kids. We both had a bite (just to make sure they were good lol) and they were soooooo good!! A little salty and full of flavor. WOW.. I can't believe how good a hot dog can really taste!!!Staff is friendly. Prices are reasonable. They do not take credit. They are a cash only business but they do have a ln ATM.This is a definite must!!!

"I can't wait to go to that really swanky and upscale butcher shop," said no one ever. Sure the interior sort of looks like your uncle Randy's garage, but this place has great meat selection and the family run business provides great service with affordable prices. The beef sticks are fire (and the spicy ones will make you spit fire, of sorts)! There's so much that this place could (prob should) change but I wouldn't change a thing.

I stopped in for my first ever visit to this wonderful place. The sausages are ridiculously delicious especially the hot Hungarian. WOW!! Being from Northern Illinois, we have access to some traditional butchers and meat counters. This place is that and so much more. Even the pizzas they make so you can take them home to bake look fabulous. And those hot meat sticks are really THAT GOOD! Not overly spiced.... Just right. Too many great things to mention. You just got to go here and see what I mean. Very helpful service. Love it!!

Stopped here as we were going for a walk around the lake. Large selection of meat products including chops, steaks, and homemade bratwurst, Italian sausages, Polish sausages, etc. They have many homemade salads too! We purchased three New York strip steaks any large serving of German potato salad. We also couldn't pass up the homemade landJager sausages. We made the steaks for dinner and they were very juicy and delicious. Very appealing decor, and the staff is cordial and attentive. Very reasonable prices for what you pay for. They only except cash, but there is an ATM on premise. No credit cards accepted at this time.

One of the best places to buy meats in Southern WisconsinI have been coming to the Sausage Haus for the past 5 years and find the people to be very knowledgeable and friendly. They have excellent prepared meals and great meats. I especially like their bone-in Ribeye, bacon, sausage and all-beef hotdogs. It is a rare gem but very typical for Oconomowoc. I would highly recommend as their prices are reasonable and service is great!

Please, please, please,clean your establishment. The cash register alone was so disgusting the keys are crusty. The ceiling lights have a ton of dust, the floor has caked on sections of dirt, the meat cases have crusty, nasty stuff on the edges. There is just no call for that. Noticed all this while waiting for a muffuletta. It was huge but we were pretty grossed out eating it thinking about unwashed hands and no gloves that made it. Then touched the crusty buttons on the register and went right back to dishing out meat. . How has the health department not managed this place???

Great large fresh chicken Gordon Bleu sandwich ! Prices are just what they should be. Will be a regular whenever I in town. All the employees very nice and that is a plus!
