Sassy Scoop

New ice cream shop in town! Went for opening day and there are definitely some fun flavors on the menu. They have a wide variety of Babcock ice creams to choose from for cones and dishes and there are unique flavors of shakes, floats, and sundaes. We ended up ordering the cold brew coffee float which features Let It Ride cold brew coffee and the hot honey mango shake. Both were quite tasty, but the shake was a standout. It's a flavor we haven't seen around Madison before and it's wonderfully balanced between the sweetness of the mango and the slight spicing of the hot honey to make a delightful shake. Staff was very friendly and we were able to try some samples of the ice creams to decide what we wanted. There is also a nice patio setup off of the bike path in the back. As it was opening day, they are still working out some kinks and working on some fun other options for the menu. We spoke to the owner and it sounds like there will be some vegan options coming in the very near future in some sorbets.

I was there on a Saturday evening. This is an ice cream counter, there is no indoor seating. There are some outdoor tables behind though. I went for a 4 scoop - churo, Berry proud parent, s'more years, Irish cream. S'more years was my favorite followed by churo. Berry proud parent was also a good flavor. Irish cream was ok.

The ice cream is fantastic, the service is great, the vibe is wonderful. I am from out of town and went to Sassy Scoops and felt like I was experiencing the best of Madison.
