Sandy's Popper

Was in town for the weekend visiting family. Saw the name "Sandy's Popper" as we were driving by and asked for the car to be stopped so we could go check it out. The place smells amazing right when you walk in! Cute popcorn shop with a ton of different flavors to pick from. Along with icecream flavors and miscellaneous candy treats. They will make it fresh for you as well- thank you Tom! He was very kind answering all of our questions and making a customer feel like a customer (not always something you receive these days). It was hard to only pick a few popcorns to bring home with me, but I ended up purchasing the s'mores and cheese and caramel blend, and impulse purchased the chocolate turtle at checkout. I appreciate how samples of the popcorn are out as well. Everything was fantastic and this will be a must stop for me when I'm in Kenosha!

Best popcorn and ice cream shop in Wisconsin! I absolutely love the huge variety of flavors for both, and love the vibe of the store. Always feels full of history and is very homey. I've also never had a problem with the service myself, I go in, order what I want, they give it to me and I'm on my way. Nothing wrong with that.Love the new shop as well, so happy that it's bigger and there's more seating for customers, because I do like staying for a bit to eat my ice cream. Overall the new shop is much more accessible and feels how Sandy's Popper should feel again and I'm so excited it's even closer to home; I can walk to the new location now! Perfect timing for summer!

This shop came highly recommended and it didn't disappoint. I ordered the Windy City Mix and Mint Chocolate Chip popcorn. Both were tasty and fresh the customer service was great and I look forward to trying other items in the future. TIP: The shop does close at 7PM.

Got an apple cider milkshake which was very good. Guys working there were very chill with nice service. Ambiance was nice besides the homeless lady sitting outside the door smoking. Overall nice place for a quick desert

Many Sweet Options!I visited (2/28 & 3/2).This review covers both.This is a wonderful sweets shop, located In downtown Kenosha-a few blocks from Lake Michigan.The shop is actually two storefrontsW/ a few colorful tables/chairs for seating.Featuring: many popcorn flavor combinations,Ice cream, huge lollipops & unique merchandise.I'm excited about the merchandise & decor.The popcorn is prepackaged/label details Flavor or Flavor Combination.I purchased the popcorn "Caramel/Cheese Mix" &The "Old Fashioned Kettle Corn." And "Birthday Cake" Ice Cream. All fresh/tasty.The Kettle Corn has a wonderful sweet/salty flavor w/creamy butter notes.The birthday cake ice cream: creamy, smooth vanilla base w/flavors of vanilla birthday cake.Worth another visit!

So I posted about how their staff does not wear masks nor do they make customers on a post advertising their masks on Facebook, and they deleted the post itself and blocked me from their entire Facebook page. Pretty shitty on their part. Someone called them out for violating the Governor's order and current health codes and they try to bury the evidence. The picture still went straight to the DOH, and you can't hide from them.

My new summertime biking hobby has been a stop for a scoop or two of ice cream at Sandys. The phone is one generous scoop. If you get two, be ready! All of the flavors I've tried so far have been delicious, and all of the employees are super friendly. I like to enjoy my treat by sitting outside at one of their tables while watching downtown Kenosha go by.

If you're looking for some snacks, either sweet or salty, this is definitely a cute place to check out. They serve Chocolate Shoppe ice cream which is some of my FAVORITE ice cream as it's packed with flavor. I love that they have 5 flavor sampler (5 mini scoops) for indecisive ol' me who can never pick just one or two flavors. They have a few small tables and chairs to sit and eat, but I can imagine it gets busy on the weekends in the summer. Will definitely have to come back to try the popcorn!!

As others have said, this is probably the best ice cream and popcorn you'll find in the area without going to Madison, Milwaukee, or Chicago. The shop is nicely decorated with a very strong smell of sweets. Prices are reasonable and the staff is super friendly and attentive. The cedar crest ice cream they stock here is full of nice add-ins and has a nice light flavor with a creamy texture. At only $2.49 for a generously sized single scoop, you can't complain about what you're getting. As others have said, the popcorn is probably the closest you'll find to Garrett popcorn here (more like Poppycock) and is great to snack on if you're taking a stroll along the harbor.With the good prices, tons of variety in popcorn and ice cream, and a great staff -- I'll definitely be back on my next visit to Kenosha.

Icecream was WAY too soft. Young employees knew this when they scooped it on my daughter's cone. Over $3/scoop for that? The young employees need customer service skills. No "hello" or "how can I help you?" One girl gave a smirk as if she didn't understand me. I would hope Sandy or a manager would have been there to oversee operations. Not sure we'll be back.
