This was the new restaurant of the week even though it's a food truck, I don't discriminate. Chicken sandwiches are blowing up all over and the competition is fierce so I would head over to the Zocalo food truck park and get a chicken sandwich. The menu Banh mi chicken sandwich sounded great in the on line pictures of the menu but it was not on the menu so I asked about it and it's available. The decor is dedicated food truck park with a bar building that has bathrooms and limited out door seating around the trucks. The sandwich took less than 10 minutes and I thought the bag felt light for the almost $15 price range with no sides. The sandwich it self isn't very big for the stand alone price range but it looked good. It was a Banh mi clone with mayo, jalapeños, carrots, lettuce and cilantro. The sandwich was delicious but for the price point I thought it was a little thin. The toasted bun was all wrong because it was way too light and flattened very quickly so everything was getting squeezed out of the bun and I had to keep pushing/putting everything back into the sandwich while I ate it.Putting everything into perspective a good store fried chicken whole is about $9 so this stand alone fried chicken sandwich with such a small portion of chicken from a food truck was over priced compared to less than half the price of fast food restaurants fried chicken sandwich's. At just under $15 for a single chicken sandwich I was expecting something more.

Got dinner here one night at zocalo and wow! The food was ready very quickly. The sandwich I got was HUGE and so good! I love zocalo and this food truck is a great addition to the place.

Stopped here for lunch on a random weekday. Got the honey gojujang sandwich along with loaded fries (topped with kewpie, sesame, scallions). The chicken on the sandwich was flavorful, and the pickle was the perfect crunch / zing to compliment it. It was also not spicy, but more of a sweet / savory flavor combo. The fries had a nice crispy outside, where they are almost fluffy? My favorite type of fry.Overall just a little pricy, but I would come back regardless.I saw they have a Japanese fruit sandwich, I'll have to be back to try that!
