Sandpiper Inn On Lake Bernice

Great salmon burger. Fish fry very good too. Tartar sauce tastes great. Crinkle Cut fries. Only 10 tables so we had to wait about 30 minutes last friday night but it was worth it. Don't bother going if its to see Lake Bernice. Algae covered and no view of lake from restaurant. But the food was very good!They have an all you can eat fish and chicken on fridays. Its pollack. You can also order a 3 or 5 piece haddock. I think they also had perch.

Excellent old fashions really good broasted chicken reminds me of home cooked meals from my childhood.

This little gem is just great!!!The fried chicken special is great. Great hot, fresh cooked chicken, with sides that includes corn, your choice of potatoes; we chose mashed, and stuffing with gravy. Now, when you serve that with great old fashions and service, it definitely makes you want to come back again.

Waited 10 minutes for waitress to take order waited almost till meal arrived to receive water. Water was milky color, tried at home to replicate found water would looked like milked when it was run over ice and came from hot tap . Stay milky to ice melted. Ordered ayce chicken and smelt the smelt looked like minnows from lake Bernice! The mud lines were still visible in areas that was missing breading, the were no good. Ate three, figured I'd take it home for our dog, gave her on damn near tore my fingers off, after she ate it a couple minutes later,I offered her another, she wouldn't take it. Had too asked twice for a refill on water twice, asked for take home box and the wife, the waitress questioned my wife if she had reordered her chicken. Cuz she couldn't take it home. I told her these were her original 4 pieces and I was the one who had the reorder, cuz the smelt were bad. Had to ask server twice more for the take home box. Sign along hiway makes int sounds like it's a nice restaurant, however it's nothing more the dive bar with a 10 table room for it's "dining" area. Talked to manager this pm. Gave me an apology for bad service, unconcerned about trying to correct situation by offering us anything if we come back again. Needless to say , we won't be going back for the ayce chicken and minnow fry!!

While the wait was long, it was well worth the wait. Service was good and food was great. Waiting area around the bar is small and cramped.

This is a small place where the bar room is certainly larger than the dining room. There were three of us on a Wednesday and the special that evening was AUCE fish and chicken. My husband and sister ordered smelt, one order lightly battered, and the other beer-battered. I ordered the broasted chicken and a beer-battered cod fillet. I had a baked potato and my dining companions had fries. We ordered simple wine and beer drinks.Only the bar has a view of Lake Bernice, however the food and service more than made up for it. The coleslaw, that indispensable condiment to any fried meal, was wonderful! Vinegar based with a perfect sweet-sour balance. The smelt were crisp and sweet. My broasted chicken was excellent as was the fish filet. Bothe my husband and my sister liked the homemade tartar sauce, while I prefer lemon and our server happily and speedily supplied me with more. Our waitress was outgoing, engaging, and full of interesting conversation. We all hope we get a opportunity to visit again soon. It's a quintessential Wisconsin restaurant.

love an old school supper club! loved the food and portion size, so good! the place is small buy adequate and they really handle a crowd. worth the drive for all you can eat!

We never got our table. Sitting there for 2.5hrs. Some how our names got off the list even though we had a pager. Stuck us on a small table that wasn't meant for dining. They are confused on what they are doing.

If I could give this place a -100 star review I would never have I ever been so unhappy with the wait we had a reservation for 6;00 didn't get a table till almost 8:00 just very very disappointed will never come back again also the service was just horrendous

Really nice staff, great food and pricing is fair. I had the brisket which was awesome. Wife had prime rib sandwich and she enjoyed that as well. We will be back.
