Sand Bar & Island Grill

No picture because I was too hungry when I got there.But really if you are looking for a laid back key west feel at the Illinois / Wisconsin border, this is the perfect place.Excellent bar with lake views, excellent service and good seafood choices.I will definitely be back I just need to remember this is a summer only location since they are closed in the winter months.

Visited for the first time yesterday. Loved the island theme and fun decorations! It was on the water which is always a plus to me! Drink menu was impressive but wasn't drinking but they looked yummy! There were three of us and we were all happy with our selections. Scallop tacos were awesome, burger was yummy and mozzarella cheese sticks were wrapped in won tons which was good! Server was attentive and friendly. Prices were reasonable - lots of seafood choices. I'd highly recommend a visit to check it out!

The food wad amazing!! We had the crab cakes as an appetizer. Honestly they could be a meal Also had the half shell oysters. My husband loved them and I will love him later. girls if you know what I mean!! Then we shared the lobster roll. That brought back memories of my trip to Maine. Laura and her crew were spectacular!! Very friendly and accommodating. It is a very very very small place. But they made room for you. Highly recommend this place. It was a 2.5 hour trip one way for us. Well worth it!!!!!

We have been going to Sand Bar and Island Grill for 10 years now and it never disappoints. This is our favorite place for so many reasons. The people are friendly, the atmosphere is great and the food is amazing! My favorite is the grouper Ruben with a side of onion rings. the kiddos love the burgers and the hubs swears by the Cesar salad with sautéed grouper on top. Something about the place just makes me happy! Weekends get busy but now they take reservations. it just keeps getting better! Only wish they were open all year long.

This place has an amazing lake view and is a great place to enjoy the sunset. Very friendly staff and great food. Average but reasonably priced drinks. You should absolutely make a reservation because the place is popular and has limited seating. You need to park across the street. They close for the winter.

Our Sun City Car Club gets together and goes out to eat once a month. The restaurant was ready for our large group and was very pleasant. My lobster roll was delicious. Great view of the lake and the boats coming & going

I love coming here. I love the atmosphere. I've never had a bad meal. my favorite drink is the habanero margarita.

Always a fun time and good service. I order a cold but they serve a lot of tropical drinks. Not your typical bar menu, and it's amazing how much food they bring out from such a small kitchen.This time we had spotted cows, and a fish dip with pita chips.

Lobster roll was the best I've ever had! Natalie is a great bartender and server.Even got to meet the owner Carlo.5 star experience!

very good Mahi Mahi, cooked perfect. Only thing is I would have appreciated some tarter sauce which they do not have. Great view of the lake as well.Service was ok. little busy and waitress kept forgetting our requests.
