I stopped here because I have driven past the place so many times and the building looks old and cool. It's old looking on the inside with a cool tin ceiling and giant chalk board. They have a grill and a pizza oven but serve no food. My service was ok but the place was empty on Mother's Day afternoon when I stopped over. I didn't like the vibe of the place because the bartender will converse with you until a co worker walks in and drops you like a hot potato to gossip/talk shop.

Really great atmosphere, perfect Wisconsin bar. I especially love going on Sunday afternoons during happy hour where you do a pull tab for every drink to potentially get discounts! This bar is dog friendly (and cat friendly lol) - just make sure your pets are well socialized and calm before bringing them in. No food available but you can bring your own, just make sure to bring some to share!

Officially one of my favorite places in Milwaukee.I've been curious about this place for my entire life, rolling by in the VW Sedan of my childhood in the late 60's/early 70's. "What is in there? Am I an adult yet?"Fast forward today, I am an adult, and my companion and I rolled in here for the proverbial "Just one more!".WOW!!! This bar has it ALL. Friendly bartenders, friendly patrons, a SUPER cute pibble dog named "Hawkeye" with his owner, who was also a great guy. Pickled Bay View EGGS! PICKLED POLISH SAUSAGE SNACKS!! Drinks are so reasonable, and this place has a very friendly and inclusive neighborhood vibe. Just great!!!!!I come up to MKE fairly frequently, 'cos my Mom still lives in our house not far away. I'm coming back to Sam's DEFINITELY.

Stopped here to have a drink and try the food. First off the bar has no street presence at night, didn't realize it was actually still open until we turned the corner. No light up name sign. They have a variety of panini sandwiches and hotdogs. I opted for the BLT. Way, Way, Way, too much chipolte mayo, I could barely taste anything else. By the second half I just picked off the bacon and couldn't eat the rest. It was also supposed to contain arugula (which I saw none) and tomato ( one super thin slice). Definitely not worth the $12. Bartender was friendly, but we were the only two in the bar.

Just a walk down the street from my house, I enjoy everything Sam's Tap has to offer.Inside, they did a great job making over the place and really gave it a warm, cozy feeling. It's cute and homey and the giant chalkboard lets patron's know what's going on for daily deals and such. My two go-to sandwiches are Sam's Southern (a Cajun infused sandwich with turkey, spices, veggies and an awesome chipotle mayo) and the BBQ chicken sandwich (it's BBQ chicken, but the tangy sauce and red onions complete it). The staff who works there is incredibly friendly as well. We went there for new years and they asked if I'd like to hear any song requests right before the year turns. I asked "It's the end of the world as we know it" by REM and they played it. What better way to say goodbye to 2017? I can't think of one! Other positives: they have local beers on tap, bloody is tasty, board games for your group to play, friendly patrons and staff if your group is MIA, Trivia Wednesdays and Karaoke Fridays. It's a fun place to relax and kick back a few drinks while realizing William Butler Yeats was right when talking about strangers.

Stopped here for some late night eats, about 9:45, hoping they were still serving as their website unfortunately did not specify. Bartender advised they stop at 9, but he still had the grill fired up and would hook us up. Kudos to him. I had the Italian beef panini, it was pretty good overall, but parts were literally just bread on bread, the fillings didn't fill the sandwich. Also seemed to be light or missing some form of sauce, not sure what it was supposed to have but parts seemed very dry. Not worth the $12 as I got it, but if they ensure the fillings filled out the sandwich and make sure it's not dry (but not overdone like my girlfriends BLT) it'd be worth it. Decent selection of local taps, though I just opted for a Hamms tall boy and a shot $5 special. The interior is nice, clearly just redone. I'd come back as it's close to home, hope they can fix the few minor flaws.

Friendly bartenders, great specials and one of the only Bay View kitchens open until bar close. Sunday Funday lives up to it's name and I had a blast during Friday night Karaoke. Bonus that it has it's own parking lot.

After the renovation this place has really wowed! Staff is friendly, drinks are cold, and food is hot. If you don't come to Sam's tap you will be missing out on a good time!

This bar has a great atmosphere. Friendly staff, great tap beer selection. They don't offer a fish fry (never have), or hot sandwiches but they haven't for three years, so stop asking. They do have nearby taco trucks and a vendor who sells chicharrones on occasion. So stop by when you can!
