Salty's Seafood & Spirits

This is 3 months ago, I had to do supplier audit. This place nearby and menu intrigue me. I like escargot and not a lot of place with one. So I have to go here. So much food for me, myself and I. Everything is good and satisfying. I meant fish is fish. If I ever in the area again (sadly highly unlikely unless I'm visiting a supplier again) I wouldn't mind.

4.5 stars. When wondering where to eat in Fond du Lac, my coworker told me about Salty's Seafood. I live in a landlocked state, so I'm always down to eat fresh seafood every chance I get. I parked in the lot right out front and got seated in my own booth. It was busy during Saturday lunch, and I would have loved to sit at the bar but was on my way to a work event. Definitely got the usual weird stares for being a solo traveler.Brenda was my waitress. Quick and courteous. I ordered their Seafood Fettuccine ($14.25) which was out of this world. Shrimp, scallops, crab, and mushrooms sauteed in white wine with cream and parmesan cheese? AMAZING!! The garlic bread was a tasty addition, too. Solid 5 stars for the quality of food. Would love to come back if I'm ever in FdL again, though I'd probably do takeout next time.

Excellent seafood menu and food quality. Great soups, appetizers. Service is prompt and wait staff very knowledgeable. They have crab, lobster, fish dinners and combos with steaks, potatoes and salad bar on occasions. Love the hot bacon dressing for spinach. Large menu and options.

Stopped on a Saturday night without reservation. Seated in 20 minutes before finishing our cocktails at the bar. Seated at a nice table in the corner. Had great service from Missy. Wonderful meal. Both New England clam chowder and cheesy seafood soup were delicious on a dreary night. Served hot. Entrees were delicious. I had key largo shrimp and Cajun bacon wrapped shrimp and twice baked potato. A lot of food! Took half to go. Others had tenderloin which were properly done and quite tender/tasty. Warm bread nice touch. We all left thoroughly satisfied. Too full to order any after dinner ice cream drinks. Next time! I recommend Salty's when in FDL.

Was told over the phone that we could be seated with a minimal wait ( as we were on the way from North Fond du lac) Arriving 4 min after hanging up with the server got to the door to find it locked! So called again and was told they weren't taking any more customers ! And hung up on!Super unprofessional!!!

While doing a food tour of the Lake Winnebago area, we couldn't resist dropping in at Salty's for a snack, just to try it out. The half-dozen oysters were good, and the combo platter (a selection of fried appetizers) was nice. The Manhattan Clam Shower was super thick and rich, would be great on a cold day! But the star of the show was the French Onion Soup - so cheesy! The service was good, and we loved the ambiance (especially the cozy booths), and we absolutely want to go back sometime to try their fish, which I suspect must be amazing.

Nice pubby vibe with portion sizes that are huge. You definitely get your money's worth. Grouper was good, but would recommend getting it grilled instead of pan fried. Service was impeccable. Servers had clearly been at it for a long time -- super experienced and attentive. The decor is great at well with a natical theme.

really good food! There lobster is really good and it's a really cute theme place! also they were nice and gave my dad a happy birthday brownie. And well it's just swingly (pun)

Stopped in for lunch and we had the best food. Had the lake perch and it was so tasty, potato salad was very good. We ordered the burger dessert to go and what a creative way to have cookies, fudgey brownie and waffle fries. Loved it! Awesome service from very friendly staff.

Just came through Fond De Lac for vacation. Jenny was Ana amazing server and our appetizers and dessert were amazing!
