I was here not too long ago for the first time to meet some friends one evening. I admit I had to call them to verify the entrance. They good me good intel on the location. Mind you, the entrance is unmarked on an alley. If you're like me and need to make sure you're in the right place especially at night when you're driving around looking for parking, feel free to call like I did. This is a unique experience if you've never been! Once you enter, you'll be greeted in a small lobby and will need to supply the password. I didn't know the password and was required to pass a small "test" to enter the restaurant. No worries, the test is easy. From there, you'll enter the restaurant through a secret entrance. And then, I found my group. I won't spoil some of the surprises for you - as there is more to the entrance here. We ended up ordering the nachos appetizer and the cheese curds and then I got a salad. I ordered the martini which comes flying through pipes above your head (I'm not kidding) and lands in a cup. You'll need a heads-up when your drink is on the way. You'll want to spend some time walking around the restaurant and taking in the spy memorabiilia - really fun spy gear, posters, information, etc. There are nooks and crannies, turns and corners, so it's not your usual "square" of a dining room. While walking around, we even were entertained by an excellent magician doing card tricks at another bar in the restaurant.I was so busy with my guests I didn't get photos of most of our food, but a couple are below. The food was good, but the real fun is the place itself. It's a special place unique to Milwaukee.

This is a cool experience, especially for kids. They have some really cool tricks and puzzles to solve. Loved the phone booth exit option. Some of the staff were very knowledgeable and helpful.Unfortunately, our server didn't really seem to care about the rich history of this place or the food. The fries were great, served hot and lightly salted. The mission impossible burger was dry and pretty terrible. Looked to be a a typical Sysco burger topped with lackluster toppings that don't really "fancy it up". The walls are adorned with spy themed memorabilia, as well as military and puzzle pieces. Really cool atmosphere and if you get the right server (one had been there 10 years) they are a delight to talk to about the place.

The novelty has long worn off this spy themed novelty restaurant, but it's still fun, especially for first timers. The menu is limited (with a spy theme) but the food is tasty and the local magicians who perform in the back bar are all very good. It's hardly essential Milwaukee but it's still a good restaurant with a tired though effective theme.

SafeHouse is a must see drinking destination if you are staying in Milwaukee. We had such an amazing time exploring all the nooks and crannies in this hidden bar. There is a lot of magic everywhere from the floors to the exit. From double mirrors to hidden activations, this is the place to be for a fun night out. Make sure to know the secret password. The good vibes were flowing.

One of the COOLEST experiences I think I ever had!! Being an avid James Bond fan - I was to the moon, over the rainbow, and on Cloud9 when I saw all the themed rooms, memorabilia, and sat in the rotating booth (yes you read that correctly, the place was that cool)! The servers are called 'agents', there are fun coded messages throughout the restaurant for you to solve if you want, and the food was good too. Even the process to get into the restaurant is QUITE memorable, with secret codes and all, but that's all I can say without ruining the surprise. There is an actual piece of the Berlin Wall on display, a rotating booth, a trick bathroom door that 'leads to nowhere', signed autographs, and memorabilia from almost EVERY spy movie over the last 70 years, a news room, and even a fun process where you need to pick up a random pay phone to get a passcode in order to leave out the back entrance - it's all so extra, so on theme, and overall an amazing time. Loved it there.

Just a fun place to come check out if it's your first time in Milwaukee like it was for me. I really enjoyed this spot and while the food ended up being a bit of mixed bag, the first drink I had was really good and had me tipsy while I played spy games. You can probably find out from all the other reviews but hopefully they don't ruin the surprise of what this place is like. On the food side, my meatballs came out kinda cold, my tots still had a bit of grease in them and the taco plate gave a lot to eat but just tasted okay. The covert ops cocktail was really good though. Go at least once.

Everyone told us we had to try safe house in Milwaukee but our experience wasn't what I was expecting. It was a very fun atmosphere to find and get into the restaurant. However we were seated near the kitchen and next to a wall that had "clues" on it so there were constantly people standing next to our table. And our table was super sticky. Our server was fun and friendly but overall we would not visit again. If you prioritize vibes over food, you might like this place - but no one in our party enjoyed their food. It wasn't gluten friendly either.

It could have been one of the most clever and entertaining spots in Milwaukee...but falls short. The vibe is mysterious; with cool dark booths and a spy themed menu, theres an overwhelming amount of CIA and spy swag on the walls. You enter the restaurant through an innocuous storefront and must follow the instructions to enter. The best part: a secret booth that spins on a rotating platform into the adjacent pub next door. However, the overall vibe is "pre-teen birthday party" during the afternoon. There's literally kids at half the tables. This takes the spooky spy vibe down several notches. I'd like to try this spot again during the late evening to see if the mood changes. Food: 3/5. Most of the food is fried and over salted. It's ideal for soaking up some beer or if you are a teenager with a high metabolism. Drinks: 2/5. Super sweet and syrupy cocktails and some decent local beers. The prices are not cheap, and the drinks are not subtle. Vibe: 3/5. the menu and theme is Cold War spy vs spy, and I liked it...but there are a lot of kids there too. The treasure hunt around the restaurant is informational but also leads to a lot of kids and families wandering around your table. Service: 3/5. Our server wasn't the friendliest, and didn't seem pleased that we only ordered 2 apps and 2 drinks. She also seemed a bit overwhelmed by the amount of tables she had, so maybe it was a short staffed day.
