This was the new restaurant of the week and it can be anything that serves food because I don't discriminate and today was a Puerto Rican food truck. It's really a trailer pulled by a van with good service because they will call you on cold days so you can sit in a warm vehicle until your food is ready. I ordered the Pernil sandwich and Puerto Rican rice for $20 which I thought was expensive for a food truck, $13 for the sandwich and $7 for the rice. When I was handed the bag I realized that it has some heft to it and not what I was expecting. The Pernil is shredded pork, lettuce, cheese, mayoketchup and potato stick is what the menu says. OMG the sandwich was huge and at least a foot long or more. The sandwich was delicious with plenty of pork on a fresh hoagie roll and seasoned nicely. The rice was in like a deli round container the 1/2 size of the big one or the middle one. The rice was good and cooked perfectly, not mush, slightly sticky seasoned and seasoned nicely. Overall if all the Mexican trucks in town are getting long in the tooth give this truck a try for something different.

I really wanted to like this place. I tried food from the truck before it was extremely salty, but I'm like let's give it another chance. i'm sorry I did the rice was way undercooked. the meat again was very salty. took them 15 minutes just to take our order. With only one other table. and the constant chirping of the smoke detector that needed its battery changed, was ridiculous. If you go approach with caution.

Okay, so they just opened and I wanted to try it out because in my opinion I'm picky with Rican food. So I ordered a Jibarito and a bistec sandwich it was bomb.com the rice was good too. They use the long grain which I like only thing is I wish they didn't put jamón de cocinar because let's be honest not all of us eat pork. The service was good, I can tell that they have been busy and they are tired since they just opened. They did mix up my order but I had checked it in the car which was no biggie. Next time I will eat inside since the place looks spacious. I hope the place last in the city because none of the Puerto Rican restaurants ever do.I'm updating my review these people don't know how to take orders they seem to find a way to mess things up. I'm good won't go there again.....

Food is good , well presented , clean place and attentive personal. However location is not the best ,no parking on a busy street . The stairs to the restaurant need railings on both sides or at least one in the center of the steps . Many people are elderly or visually impaired and have no way to hold on to , especially when there is ice or water on the steps .

I bought some food on Saturday when they were on near south side. it was a Caribbean festiva.I spent $38.00 on takeout. The food was extremely salty, including the rice. I couldn't finish it.
