Rupp's had some very tasty food with an amazing staff! I was recommended to head here by some of the locals and there was no disappointment at all. It was just me for Saturday night dinner but I did call about 2 hours ahead and made a reservation for 1. The place was packed so definitely make a reservation a day or two in advanced if you have a larger party. The entrance can be a little confusing but you enter from the bar and make your way to the back where the table service is. There is a small hostess area where any of the servers can help you get seated; just stop one when you get to the dining room. Everything was decorated for Christmas, dim lit, neat and clean. I was sat at a small table in the corner with an entire view of the dining room.My server was very nice, bubbly, and very knowledgeable about the menu offerings. She immediately greeted me with a smile and asked if I would like a drink while looking over the menu. She offered the specials of the day without even asking (including the pricing) as well as her favorites at the restaurant. Following her recommendation, I went with one of the Saturday night specials being the prime rib asked to be cooked medium. Prior to receiving my main course, there is salad bar and soup available unlimited. The salad bar toppings and dressing were ok, a little limited for my liking but good. The soups available that night were the Black Forrest and Stuffed Pepper. Those soups were probably the best things I had at the restaurant, they were so unique and so good. Don't forget to look above the salad bar for the dinner rolls if you are interested in some bread.The steak came out in a reasonable time cooked more on the medium rare side but trusting the chef's I took a bite and it was not a disappoint...delicious. There are 3 sizes of cuts you can get; I got the "queen" size and man was that huge! I paired that with the loaded baked potato and was that decadent, an awesome combo. Between the size of the steak and potato, I had more than enough food for 2 full meals.Overall, good experience and I would go back if ever in the area. This was my first "supper club" style restaurant and Rupp's left me wanting to try more restaurants of this style.

I do not live in WI, so it has been a while since I have been to Rupp's. We had great service and food. I love their salad bar. It has everything you need for a tasty salad. The clam chowder was also tasty. The bacon wrapped water chestnut appetizer was good with a nice dipping sauce. My hubbys porterhouse steak was huge and cooked perfectly! The steak was delicious. I like that there is seasoned butter on the plate with the steak. Try the rosemary fries. I had the deep fried shrimp, they were huge and pretty good. My mom in laws tenderloin was big and she loved it. The loaded baked potato is awesome. The drinks were good. The carrot cake was huge and yummy. Yes, we had a lot of food and it was all delicious! We had leftovers. The restaurant is quaint and I like the bar area too. Definitely make reservations.

Another visit to Rupp's, and not disappointed. Don't live in the area so when we are there we often meet people for meals and this was no exception. We took my father in law and his friend to Rupp's and had another great meal. The waitress was wonderful and the food quality was great. Everyone enjoyed their meal. It's a comfortable restaurant.

The prime rib was so good and the atmosphere was so friendly Janelle the bartender was so darn friendly and she ran that bar without a sweat!!! Just be sure to call ahead of time for reservation but it was great to sit at bar before dinner!!!

Another top notch, small town Supper Club option in East Central Wisconsin. In fact, Rupp's is easily one of the best choices for a great meal in the Sheboygan and Manitowoc County Area. As in all Wisconsin Supper Club's, you first have to start with a great Old Fashioned in the bar. Then start your meal with an excellent soup and salad bar (still operating during Covid tines - only it's all served cafeteria style by a server). This salad bar always has 2 great soups and THE BEST blue cheese salad dressing you will ever taste. Their entrees are all great! You can't go wrong with any steak, but I would also highly recommend the pork chops or the tenderloin tips.Meal sizes are huge so come hungry and still plan on enough for lunch the next day!

If I could give extra stars I would! This place is a class act. We were coming into town in the evening after a 6 hour drive and found Rupp's as I was scouring the web for a place for a late dinner. We would be able to arrive right at 7:05pm, they closed at 8pm. Since we didn't want to be the people that arrived last minute to hold up staff from going home we called ahead and asked if our arrival time would be an issue. They stated that we were very welcome to dine with them and they would have our table waiting. I was already impressed with the politeness of the staff that answered the phone when we called and welcomed us so nicely. We were seated quickly and greeted for drinks. We ordered a couple drinks and ordered quickly as we were starving from the car ride. Our server then directed us to the salad and soup bar. It was soooo good. Everything looked fresh and was nice and cold. I'm not big on salad bars usually but this one looked nice and fresh even being at the end of the day. We enjoyed our drinks, soup and salad while waiting for our meal. Once our entrees arrived we were nearly stuffed. The food was AMAZING. My husband ordered steak and I went with the shrimp and scallops. The scallops were hands down some of the best I've had. They were cooked perfectly! My husband stated his steak was fantastic and was also cooked perfectly. I wish I lived closer to this place because we would definitely be regulars. We may return to Wisconsin just to eat here, it was that good! It's a must go to if you are in the area. Even if you aren't hungry don't pass it up! You won't be disappointed I promise!

What a great little gem this place is! We stopped in on a Saturday night and found it to be quite busy, had called ahead for a reservation. We were able to get a seat right away at the bar and enjoyed an excellent old fashioned. Bar tender was very friendly and welcoming. We were seated in a cozy booth and had an amazing dinner, frog legs for him and seafood combo for me. Delicious and well prepared. We also were greeted by the new owner, so genuine and truly excited to be there! We will definitely be back!

An overwhelmed waitess, and a slammed kitchen added to a frustrating and disappointing evening. I wish we'd know this before we sat down. - Sent all 3 burgers back as they were RARE - inedible to the guests who asked for medium and well done.- Waitess apologized for the error but warned us the kitchen was busy. We didn't know how to interpret that.- We left $40 on the table to more than cover the food we SENT BACK (had enough at this point, we'd been there an hour and wanted to go home). - Come to find our credit card (used earlier at the bar) was charged for an additional $28. Suprise!Don't charge us for food we couldn't eat.Next time we're visiting Cleveland, we'll definitely think twice. I know their food can be good, but overall such a disappointment!UPDATE: The credit card mystery was resolved. And Rupp's owner is on top of things.

When we checked in at the hostess stand, the hostess and her counterpart were the unfriendliest people I've encountered in a restaurant in years! We had made reservations, but were ignored at the bar for 15 minutes before being served a drink (improperly aerated white wine . After asking for the third time about our reservation, we were finally seated. The waitress turned the evening around. She was extremely friendly!!! The food was good - it was that of a dated supper club, but high quality. As we left, the hostess deadpanned me. I don't think she wants us back. The clientele is 60+.
