Ruffolo's Pizza

Not only is the hand tossed pizza good here but the gluten free crust pizza is a hit! Great service and the ladies know how to take care of their guests. Never had to ask for a refill on drinks. Cozy atmosphere and nice that the bar is separated by a high enough partition that doesn't make the place seem small.

I no longer live in wisconsin, but I grew up in Pleasant Prairie. Every time I come back to this town, Ruffalo's is my number one stop. The inside of the restaurant has your classic cozy mom and Pop Italian restaurant feel. Their staff has always been exceptional, including the cooks in the takeout area, as well as the girls at the cash register. As for the food, I cannot speak highly enough about this place. Their broasted chicken dinner, and Mojos cross my mind more than it should. Their deep dish pizza, gnocchi, and spaghetti are also a few of my favorite things.

Excellent thin crust or hand tossed pizza for pick up or eat in. Superb service, accurate time estimates. Anchovies aren't just listed as an option, they have them and the quality of cheese and other ingredients are good. No insulting scripted pseudo-friendly exchanges, they are sincerely nice and very competent. Most importantly, they are clean. I arrived early and even though late in the Pandemic all workers were masked properly and almost all customers were as well. I could see hand washing and food preparation surfaces were cleaned regularly. Workers seemed to be genuinely happy to be working, which has become rather rare. Plenty of parking in a roomy lot.

Excellent food and excellent service. Love the gluten free pasta too! Highly recommend!

Do NOT Dine In. Only 1 waitress for all of 10 tables and the bar. Waited 20 minutes at our table before getting our order taken (no apology for waiting so long). Waited another 10 minutes before we got our 1st drink (30 minutes total from the time we sat down. Pizza was good and came about 20-25 after order was taken which is normal. When food came i asked for the check seeing it was going to take a long time after we finished. When we finished eating 20 minutes later, I had to ask for check again. Wait staff have to manually write and calculate the bill instead of using a POS which have been around since the 1990s.

My cousin and I stopped here after spending a couple of hours at the outlet mall in Pleasant Prairie. I'm from NW Chicago and she's from Milwaukee, so we met in the middle for a date.Delicious food and great customer service; this place was packed at 7:15pm on a Saturday night. Other reviews stated that the place could use a 'face-lift', but I really didn't mind the decor, or lack thereof. I thought of the place as was well-loved and clearly the food is the stand-out here. Veggie pizza was really good, but I wish the mushrooms had been the fresh variety and not canned. 'Zza had the right amount of grease and was extra cheesy. They don't skimp on the toppings at all. Mozzarella sticks were tasty, too! I've eaten A LOT of pizza since moving to Chicago, but Ruffolo's pizza is much better than the pizza in my area.Our waitresses were very attentive and super friendly. They boxed-up the remainder of our pizza for us and highly encouraged us to come back...We'll definitely be back. A good 'mom and pop' place and off the beaten path. The waitstaff made us feel as though they truly appreciated our business. A little 'roadhouse-ish'? Sure. The location could have something to do with that, too. However, what's that matter when the food is awesome and customer service is great? :)A nice alternative if you don't want mall fare and don't mind driving the extra 15 minutes to get here.Does anyone know if this restaurant has any connection to the actor, Mark Ruffalo? I know he's from Kenosha...maybe distant family owns this restaurant, as his last name is spelled a little differently.

Friday 5:00 Empty tables but many were dirty. Nearly 10 minutes before table setup and waitress.Quick turn around on drink order.Some "specials" in marker on whiteboard not available (5:00?).Ordered medium pizza and cheesesteak sandwich.Nearly 25 minutes for food.No visit from server to refresh drinks (or explain delay).Sandwich was hot; PIZZA WAS COLD15 minutes before we could catch server to address issue.Otherwise tasty sandwich became cold and unenjoyable waiting to resolve table partner's cold pizza issue :(Paid full price for sandwich to reheat for next day's lunch :(Refused to pay for pizza.Tip (TIP = To Insure Prompt Service) not earned.6:10 disappointed and on our way home

So, I come in for an order, and the sister of the manager says, last time I came in, I didn't pay for a beer, and they want to charge me now. I say no, no one came for a VERY long time to cash me out , so I left money on the bar. She says no, yes you had to wait, but you owe us for a beer, so I pay for the beer and leave, never to come back. Please do the math, even if I had not paid for the beer, (which I did), to lose a customer for a beer that you should have comped for crappy service anyway .... unbelievable.

Tthought we had a nice Sunday dinner, but come to find we got food poisoning ruled out to be from bad ranch dressing! Got sick after eating on the drive home and called up the restaurant. The owner didn't get back to us until Tuesday, in a defensive posture, when we were only concerned about other patrons being served this same dressing. We would not recommend eating at a closed minded establishment that is not open to helping others and serving long time customers whose voice may not be recognized over the phone. This speaks volumes to our family and friends. Good bye Ruffolo's!

Okay food. Not a place for toddlers. Was immediately scolded for my 3year old son reaching for the sweet and lows on the table. No crayons for kids. Came here because all the reviews said kid friendly.....
