service was good.got takeout and picked up for us. The food:cornbread was good, a little burntsteak melt sandwich was yum, but a little burntsweet potato casserole is a great sweet dessert.fried okra was ok.the fries were thin and crispy: aka the best kind.i think its a good place for good prices. thanks ruby j

Classy place. Clean and pleasant atmosphere. Great food as well. I had the perch basket it was perfect!

went for lunch last week to try it out. they didn't have menus printed yet, but there is a big menu board on the wall. I got the fried fish, and two sides. the fish was properly cooked with a light, seasoned cornmeal breading, very good as were the two sides. the sides were well seasoned as well. I can't wait to come back and try the fried chicken. service was good, although it was obvious they were a bit new at it and the manager kept telling him what to do. Over all a very promising addition to the neighborhood. I was surprised how nice it was inside, and clean. Definitely exceeded my expectation.

We got there 20 minutes before closing and they allowed us to dine in. Service was great and so was the food. My husband had smothered pork chops with potatoes and gravy with string beans. I had fried chicken, Mac and cheese and spaghetti. Will go back when in the area.

The food was terrible the service was equally as bad. The Mac and cheese was chunky and the smothered chicken wings were not done all the way as it was hard to pull the bones apart. (Food safety). They forgot part of our order and we had to back to the restaurant we're they wanted to argue over the $3 side. I love supporting black business but service and quality of the food MATTERS! My prediction is this place will not be here long. Whats crazy is the owner spent a lot of time and effort and money opening this place but it seems they forgot the most important thing quality of food and great service. I'll NEVER be back. Do better!
