Rotunda Cafe

Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, and lots of street parking. I had a cafe miel with almond milk and one of the mini cheese bear claws.

This place is the BEST! Their coffee is great, it's super affordable, and they also have delicious food. I recommend getting the breakfast melt with bacon and adding pesto. It's a HUGE sandwich and so yummy! Not to mention they also serve Paul's Pelmeni and you can also buy frozen orders to take home to cook yourself here. A great option if you don't feel like venturing down to the State Street area, but you find yourself in need of dumplings! Today my fiancé got a dirty chai which he said was delicious, and I got an iced lavender latte. We are splitting the breakfast melt because like I said, it's huge! We got two drinks and the sandwich for under $20. I believe it's the owner who works the counter. He is always super friendly and his staff all seem like they're in a good mood and make a good team. Plus, this space is beautiful and there are a ton of different seating options- from high top tables, to individual rooms, tables good for spreading out and studying, and comfy chairs as well. Definitely give this place a try. For how great it is, it should be constantly hustling and bustling.

Such a nice coffee shop with marble floors as they preserved a lot from the original building when it was Security Marien Bank.The baristas were friendly; the coffee & good was delicious. They also have private rooms you can sit in if available, or you can reserve if you want to make sure they are available!!

I'm updating my review. The Rotunda now has some good food choices and a beautiful ambiance. It's a nice place to visit but prices are a bit high. Overall a nice and relaxing coffee shop.

I paused half-way through eating this delicious vegetarian burrito at the Rotunda to leave a review about how delicious and flavorful it is! You should try it along with a cup of their fabulous coffee!

Great food, pastries and drinks. A cool place to work with private rooms. Very friendly and clean. All the drinks were fabulous. Highly recommend.

AMAZING veggie sandwich. (My favorite) But so many excellent sandwiches/ food for breakfast or lunch! Excellent homemade soups. The service is great... friendly staff. Three different coffee selections as well as many other coffee/drinks. Great atmosphere to work, have lunch or just chat with friends with a wonderful cup of coffee. They also have rooms to take a zoom meeting in privacy. I just can't say enough good things about this great restaurant and coffee shop!!

I've been coming here a while now and it's By far the best coffee shop in Madison fabulous interior, it has a atmosphere of people working and studying. They do seem a bit understaffed and there was no manger on site but the barista on staff was absolutely terrific and was able to show her smile even with a mask on, she took my order (cold brew coffee with 2 shots of espresso on the side) which was made perfectly and then showed me where to sit and brought me my drinks. I really appreciate her efforts in being a friendly human and making me feel like an individual whenever I come in and that's what is gonna keep me coming back. I'd recommend this place for anyone including but not limited to adults, kids, seniors, busy College students, the artsy type, people with narcolepsy, bored people, pirates with a peg leg, pirates without a peg leg, sails, office/factory workers and dogs.How ever I'd not recommend this place for anyone who is allergic to fluorescent lighting, has an irrational fear of buildings or rooms that are round, and anyone that has 0 good vibes. Five stars.

My niece and I had lunch for the first time today. I had high hopes, and she's a waitress, so she knows good service. Both of us rated out sandwiches a 5: fresh, delicious. The imaginative space was great, too. But service was lousy. We placed our orders with a waitress who seemed indifferent, if not hostile. The 10 minutes or more we stood by the counter a single customer came in and ordered coffee. After 15 minutes the same waitress seemed to notice me and said, "You can sit down and I'll bring your sandwiches out." Our lunch arrived about 5 minutes later.20 minutes seemed like a lot of time during a lull in business. And why weren't we invited to sit down right away?I give Rotunda a 3.5 at best. Hope to get a different counter person next time.
