Sauce is a bit sweet, but ultimately this little spot in Winthrop Harbor has some great pizza and pasta and I hear the wings are good as well.

Here is the long time local favorite for pizza in Winthrop Harbor. It only has delivery and pick up, and you would figure that out upon seeing the cramped interior. Roma is about what to expect from a small town pizza place like this. Menu has the main item plus some sides that are basic. The prices are higher than the chains, but the pizzas are better usually. Called and got a pick up order one evening. It's not open for lunch. The hours aren't always right. It's about $14 for a small specialty one. The Vegetable Pizza is exactly as it sounds. This has black olives, broccoli, green peppers, mushrooms, onions, and tomatoes. Pretty good variety to be honest. This was cooked pretty good, and not burnt at all incredibly. Good job on it cooking and being hot. The price was just kind of high for one pizza. Good as it gets for pizza around here. It also has a few other items. There's other Italian food such as lasagna and spaghetti.

Ordered ahead of time wasn't ready we got there and one of the pizzas was thick pizza and not stuff crust with pepperoni and sausage for grandkids. It was onions and sausage. The ravioli was good and so was the Roma delight but disappointed it wasn't ready for a 1/2 hour after we should have had it. Not sure about going back.

This pizza place is very gross lol We bought a XL pizza 16pc wing 1 bread stick Total was $47 The pizza was small for an extra large, my husband was like wtf is this lol Wings tasted like they were from the Walmart freezer section, just awful and chewy The bread sticks were the real kicker though, $6.32 for 4 that literally were hard & cheap and the nerve to charge someone damn near $7 for garlic bread sticks to have the garlic part on the side which was in cup that's pre packaged at some factory is wild. This place is an overpriced little Caesars and taste just is bad if not worse. When I asked the cashier who was sweet, young and just be talking if the food was good obviously she said yes. I mean fine but when I asked her if she put ranch in my order she hesitated said yes and then confirmed her yes. When I got home no ranch was found lol Safe to say I won't be going back here. You live and you learn. But I've noticed a lot of restaurants in this immediate area and mediocre at best and people rave about them like they are just so delicious. Unfortunately that's not the case and yall gotta get out of this area and discover better food
