Rolling Stone

The first time I had food here was a pizza, I was under the impression that was all they did because I Googled for restaurants and Google made it sound like it was only a pizza place so I got confused when I walked in and found it was a bar that serves pizza. They only have thin crust, which I don't care for, but the flavors were good, and the only reason why I don't get more pizza from here is the fact that they only have thin crust, I did recently go back and try the stake sandwich and it was also delicious, they should advertise the other food besides pizza they have.

I work across the street from Rolling Stone, in the County Administration building. Every once in a while we pop over for lunch, and they're very accomodating...since our lunch hour is only 30 minutes, we'll call the order in and they'll have our table set and order ready when we arrive. Very nice! I have to admit that I've never had anything but the salads. They're quite good, but a little pricey. My co-workers, being younger and able to eat things that would go straight to my lard arse, have been more adventurous and I've noted that all the entrees that they've had have looked great. The fries look delicious and crisp, the burgers look outstanding. I've also heard that their pizza is quite good.Decor is nice...being a vinyl record hound, I like the framed album covers that adorn the walls, and the building itself has a lot of character, it's the old Juneau State Bank. Worth a stop for some food and beverage!

The pizza is fantastic! Lots of toppings. It's thin crust but not too thin. Service was friendly. Doesn't look like much from the outside but the atmosphere inside is really nice!! We stopped here tonight coming through town based on other Yelp reviews and I'm really glad we did!Even though it's a bar, this place is definitely kid friendly. Nice kids menu. After our meal, the waitress even offered my child a sweet tart lollipop which just made her day! :)

Pretty good lunch spot! Service was very nice and quick. The homemade soup was great! Juneau's downtown is a little weird since there is a huge strip club right on the square. However, this spot was a nice place to catch a beer and bite to eat.

Recently I stopped at the Rolling Stone twice in one day because we were having two separate meetings there. So I'll divide my review into two.Stop #1 during lunch time: We were immediately seated and the only waitress working took our drink order. We did mention we might be waiting for more people, but we were never given any menus. We had to walk up to the bar and wait there for the waitress to come out from in back to ask for menus. We ordered an order of artichoke dip to share along with the mushroom swiss burger I ordered and the bacon cheeseburger my friend ordered. When we got the artichoke dip, it was pretty standard. Not bad, but nothing out of this world. It's a safe route to go if you aren't sure what to order. The only thing I will say is they could up the portion size on the dip, we definitely ran out of dip and had plenty of chips left.Both of our burgers were good, however they don't ask you what temp you want your burger at, so they all come out well done. It was served on a ciabatta roll, which was awesome! The only thing it was served with though was pickles, no lettuce, tomatoes or onions. The fries were really good too, crispy and plenty of them on the plate.When we were done we had to wait at the bar for about 5 minutes for the waitress to again come out from the back kitchen area to handle our bill. Ordinarily it wouldn't be a big deal, but by the time we were done eating we were the only ones there. Stop #2, Early Dinner: This time around, I ordered the small order of supreme nachos. They were good, but like the artichoke dip earlier I ran out of sour cream when I was only about 1/2 way through them. No big deal right? I was just going to ask for some more. Problem was that after I got my food, the server never stopped back to see how I was doing. All in all, the food is good and well priced. The service needs some help though, which is why it only got 3 stars and not 4. When there are not that many people in your restaurant the service shouldn't be so spotty.

We had their Friday fish fry and it was excellent!! The only small issue we had was that the tartar sauce must have been mixed with dill pickle juice, because it had such a strong dill flavor that we couldn't eat it... Only a minor issue as the fish was so good that we didn't need to add tartar sauce. However we did return another day and I tried a hamburger, it was awful !!! Seemed like it was a boiled mystery meat!! Must have been sitting in a steam table, I don't recommend there burgers, I couldn't eat it! We will return, but only for the fish fry

I really like the pizza here. The server was friendly. She was busy, so we had to wait a bit. The pizza was ready quickly and had generous toppings. I would go again. Love that Juneau has this place.

We like the location, the menu selections, quality, prices and service. What we don't like is the fact that some websites say they are open on Sunday, others do not. I tried to call them today (Sunday) and have to assume that they're closed, as the answering machine answered after six rings to state they will be closed Labor Day weekend. That was 2 weeks ago, how about an updated message including hours?????

Dont go here... waitress is dumb cant remember your order and tooo busy telling you that u will get small plates because the rest are in the dishwisher, her mom died. Her feet hurt and sit down in the booth to giggle because she cant remember what we ordered than 15min for glass of water, after she looked at us at lest 3 times, other customers walked out we should have...worst date night ever.... never going back.. kneels on the floor each time she talked to us, than drops a shake cheese shaker on the floor and still hands it to a lady like nothing happened.. than taking pills at the end bar. Always looking to make sure bartender dont see her... nope never eating here again.
