If you find yourself in Kiel, Roeck's Bakery is 100% a must. A staple of Kiel since the late 1800s, Roeck's Bakery is a fourth-generation family owned and run bakery. The bakery isn't large, however there is a plethora of baked goods to select from. They also give 50% off on day old baked goods. Roeck's Bakery supplies many restaurants in Kiel with their delicious baked goods. My nephew loves their loaves of wheat bread. I must recommend their blueberry cupcake with cream center. I do not usually like cream in my cupcakes because typically the creams have a funny taste. At the insistence of my sister, I got the cupcake. I am so happy that I did! The cream is fresh and doesn't have any additives or flavors. Roeck's has redefined the cupcake! If you are not a cream person, like I was, maybe try Roeck's! You'll be presently surprised! Pro tip: go early! They are popular and sell out of baked goods by early to mid afternoon.

My family and I have been coming to this bakery for 15 years, usually in the summer. Each of my nieces and nephews explode with excitement when it's established we're driving to Kiel for the cookies, donuts, and breadsticks. Everything from here is delicious. If you grew up in Wisconsin you know that this is a true Wisconsin small town bakery- the best kruller you'll ever have. I can't recommend this stop enough! It's worth going out of your way for if you want authentic quality Wisconsin bakery. This place has a special place in my families heart and after over 15 years the quality, kindness and small town feel have never changed.

Growing up, Roeck's, pronounced "Rex," was my first impression of what a bakery was - a warm, friendly, family-owned shop on main street that served absolutely delicious doughnuts. And had great fresh bread. And good kuchen. And hard roll buns.On any given visit, Jared or Kenny might be working with some dough in the back, partially visible through the door or the bread racks. The place is usually lively.Little did I know that every bakery I would encounter thereafter...just wouldn't quite live up to Roeck's. That's still the case to this day, decades later. Every time I return home, I make sure to stop by for a doughnut, made with incomparable dough - which uses a secret, generations-old family recipe. It's really good stuff.I feel no hesitation in dropping a five-star rating. Roeck's truly does set the standard for what makes an ideal small town bakery.

I haven't been to Roeck's in many, many years. I live in S. Fl. but grew up in St. Ann, five miles away. Almost every time I visited my family I would go to Kiel and to Roecks to get freshly baked bread....Tasted just like home made bread...So delicious!!!

There were flies and fruit flies buzzing around inside the display shelves..Landing on all the food. I will not being going back. The way the bugs were in the place makes me think there has to be bugs inside their food. Yuck!
