River Valley Ranch Mushroom Farm

I feel like I found a secret gem. This is my new favorite place to go to for groceries and really just in general. The staff is helpful and the vibes are outstanding. Here are some of my favorites: spinach dip, applesauce (no sugar), stuffed mushrooms, micro greens, and sourdough (just to name a few).

My hubby and I decided to stop at River Valley by chance. So glad we did. We love this store! They have a variety of foods. The best is their mushrooms! We always buy a big bag of baby portobello mushrooms. The mushrooms last about a week and I think the prices are reasonable. Always friendly service. Try the homemade mushroom baguette. Delicious! The store always has customers. It is so nice to see a small business doing well. Check it out!

These folks are awesome. Unsure why I didn't give them five stars the first time I visited, but they've earned it. Friendly service and so many lovely organic/gluten-free treats, from apples to date rolls and gluten-free battered cod filets. There's more to this place than just mushrooms - though they definitely know their mushrooms.

To: my mushroom loving friends: if you're a mushroom lover or fresh local produce lover, you should come here. It's a small store, but packed with treasures. The mushroom theme is sprinkled throughout so in addition to variety of wild and common fresh mushrooms you can find: mushroom compost (outside), dried mushrooms, farm made frozen tamales with portobello mushrooms, farm made frozen mushroom ravioli, books on mushrooms, mushrooms novelty items, plus they sell freshly made mushroom chili (by cup). Also available is variety of farm produce as well as some organic brands you can find in most "healthy foods" stores like Amy's beans, flour, grains, etc.I bought tons of mushrooms and then made them with garlic and olive oil. They were incredible.Next day I had the tamales for lunch, now I'm regretting I didn't get more.Overall, my mushroom friends, stop by at this place on your way back from Lake Geneva to Chicago.

On vacay with my Love.- in Lake Geneva, WI, .. on the way out, .. and stopping in Burlington, WI to get some more of these amazing mushrooms. I tried them in my food, 'Fungus Among Us', at Good Vibes, in Lake Geneva) - and suggested by Sam, the Proprietor.Adorable little tiny restaurant, and old school food store. Lots of stuff in such a tiny space, .. but mushrooms (and samples!!) beyond belief!

Was disappointed in their eggs. For $5/dozen I expected the yolk to be orange like a real organic egg. Also their honey is extremely overpriced $10 for a prescription sized honey.

This is a must stop on our way to Illinois to visit family. The produce and packaged foods are interesting and good. The mushrooms are delicious - many kinds and very fresh. The people working there have always been helpful and informative . I highly recommend this shop.

I have lived in Antioch since 1985. Have loved The Mushroom Ranch ever since I moved here. Will travel the half hour about every two weeks for mushrooms and all the other specials items they have like scones, bread, fresh veggies , cheese, eggs etc. Eggs were expensive but good. I even got a double yoke this last time. Love, love, love this place.

Their selection of food items is great for being a small store. Their mushroom compost is the best for garden soil. We put it in our garden every year. Our plants love it!

We love this place ! We stopped yesterday to get some new kits . We also bought the garlic spread and a few other items! The cashier was not friendly! I asked s question about the mushroom kit and her answer was So condescending ! If you do not like your job, get another one !!
