River Run Restaurant

While I didn't mind the run-down appearance of the restaurant (Sometimes that gives it charm), and the wait staff was great, the food was less than something to be desired. I've never seen brown gravy for biscuits and gravy or toast so hard that you almost need to break it against the table to eat it. I should have listened to my family when they told me to avoid this place. A lesson learned.

I discovered this hidden gem while doing my laundry next door. The outside needs some updating but the quality is in the inside, where it counts! From the moment you enter the doors you're always greeted with a warm and friendly smile. You are escorted to your "very clean" table. Even the menus get wiped down regularly. Kudos!Their food is definitely the best breakfast food for: skillets, eggs, bacon and hash browns (could be crispier) though. Lunch offers burgers, fries and more. I just found out they make killer Bloody Mary's. I had the Alaskan waffle (with vanilla ice cream yum!) so that wouldn't mix well. Next time I'm in I'll definitely check it out. My suggestion is to go if you're looking for some good home style cooking, easy on the wallet, clean attentive and friendly staff.

Just ate there this morning. River run? River run the hell away. It was dirty but I mean I expected that from the outside so that really wasn't the problem. The chicken I had seemed extremely old. They had at least 8 wait staff in there, at least 4 or which who were standing around doing nothing the entire time, honestly fire some of them and upgrade your food. My gfs pancakes were "the worst pancakes I've ever had in my life and it's very hard to mess up pancakes". I won't eat there again and I'm not sure why they have pretty good reviews, maybe paid for? Or they just told every team member to review it well lmaoo however, there was once upside and that was the price, it was $25 for two full meals something almost unheard of in this day and age. So if you want cheap, here it is!

Good inexpensive food. I'd go there again if I lived in the area. The restaurant's lack of any gimmicky or even extraordinarily unique features makes the place feel more special somehow. Good spot.

Very surprising. My son and I did a little fishing on the river and wanted a quick breakfast. Decided to give River Run a try, wasn't expecting anything special. For a Wednesday morning it was fairly busy. The waitress did a good job keeping up with the coffee and had a pleasant attitude. Food came very fast and was portioned very heavy for the low price. My sons French toast was huge and the hash browns were crispy and delicious. I was surprised how good the meal was and will be back for more quick breakfasts.

It just doesn't taste good to me. I ordered a meal and it all tasted like old oil and grill. Pancakes should not taste like oil. Yes it's inexpensive, but it's just not good. They need to call Restaurant Impossible to get a complete overhaul.

Non-pretentious. Just a plain Jane,low-end clientele family restaurant. Everything I've ever had here is just plain and uninspired. Nothing special about any of it... It'll fill you up for a buck.

Eggs! This place does eggs right. I've tried the French toast, eh. Just ok. And lunch once but wasn't memorable. However the eggs are delicious. I personally love the omelettes. We go every Sunday and are never disappointed. Good prices. Great and friendly staff.

Don't go here.... at first glance it doesn't look too bad when but when you really look around, it's filthy. Let's start with the covid protection... it's like plastic wrap between tables. Next is the walls.... have they ever been washed??? Using the bathroom.... don't bother washing your hands. The sink, and walls are dirty. It has an old cloth tool of towel on the wall... looks like that towel saw its better days in the 80's. Yellow and stained. Got pancakes with fruit... doughy pancakes with cloudy strawberry sauce and side of 2 cups of cloudy "maple" syrup. My husband bacon was grisly and even the jam tasted old. Coffee wasn't good either. When we were leaving is when we really saw how dirty it was. The 2 girls standing at the counter should have been cleaning instead of standing around talking. Our waitress was pleasant but that's all the good I can say about this place. Couldn't pay me to go back.

Quick, delicious and cheap! Great family feel and tons of menu options. Server was nice and attentive. We will be back.
