Great food in Wales!I am honored to be the first to yelp this, I tried to go on Sunday but it was their soft open and I didn't know anyone who worked there so I was turned away for MD Saloon next door for a Sunday dive bar omelet experience. However, today was the day! On my lunch to stopped into the bar and have a far superior Denver Omelet. This business is getting off the ground since I think this is the 2nd day of official business, but I tell ya what! The food is damn good, and the employees seem to be a little nervous but having fun.Easily the best breakfast in Lake Country out of the gate. We really needed a business like this. Save the gas and don't drive out to Mimosa's or Original Pancake house, this is just as good. Next time I go I'll take some food pictures.

Great Breakfast! Just had our first breakfast at Rise and Shine and it was great! I had a breakfast skillet and my wife the traditional eggs benedict. Both tasted great and did not disappoint. Good coffee as well. Can't wait to go back again for breakfast. We will also have to go back for lunch!

We really wanted to like this place. This was our third time there. The first two times it was so busy we couldn't get in. Obviously, they have staffing issues. It took 5 minutes for them to seat us with nobody else around. No big deal. The service was poor; only one waitress for the whole restaurant. We were there over an hour for breakfast. Refills on coffee were after our coffee had turned cold. My toast came out after ten minutes of receiving my eggs. The potatoes were greasy and too salty. Not sure who the owner is, if it was the man that took our order and would come out once in a while and help with tables. I observed spotty service around the restaurant. Again, sorry it didn't work out. We won't be back.

Do NOT go here. Very bad service. She never came to refill our waters and it took over an hour to get our food after ordering. The food was incredibly subpar. Chicken was over cooked to the point it was uneatable. Do not waste your money.

Wanted this place to be so much better than things turned out. We mostly had the place to ourselves on a weekday at 8:30. The ambiance is mostly the same as the last pizza restaurants with decor changed to farm, coffee and breakfast shabby chic. The bulky booths, tile floors and oddly placed walls do nothing to create a cozy atmosphere. The better part of our experience was the coffee - hot, pretty good overall and served in a too big mug which lets the coffee cool off before one can finish the cup. Half and half comes in those little plastic cups rather than fresh out of a carton in a little pitcher. We ordered the veggie skillet and breakfast Sammie. Both entrees had eggs overcooked due to too high of heat - no thanks to crispy eggs whites and firm yolks when eggs were ordered over medium. The scrambled egg in the Sammie was dry and crumbled out of the sandwhich. The skillet was mostly deep fried potato chunks with a few peppers, onions and a little mushroom. Avocado slices and barely any cojita cheese topped the dish. The toast was one slice of very ordinary sandwich bread toasted and served dry. The Sammie lacked cheese and any sauce to offer it flavor. Again, nothing to rave about the toast, dry egg and sausage patty sandwich accompanied by deep fried potato cubes. Service was fine with offers to refill drinks, but didn't seem to notice that we didn't eat much of our food. Bill was $40 for 2 drinks, 2 entrees and tip which seems to be the usual rate for decent breakfasts these days. I likely won't try it again, but I'd urge others to post more awesome reviews so my experience was just an off day for Rise and Shine. We want to see them succeed. By posting, I hope to nudge them to improve the food quality and learn how to prepare eggs that aren't overcooked.
