Recently moved to Beaver Dam, WI. Neighbors recommended Rechek's. Now, I understand why. The variety of options- fresh & packaged is fantastic. Near the entry, to the right as you walk in, there's a wall of prepared foods leading to a delicatessen. The 10 days without a refrigerator (order) in my "new" house left me with dining out, but mostly eating what they have available in the prepared foods section. Everything I had was quite good. A couple of things were a little salty but I'm not a fan of salt. I didn't try any sweet items. The main body of the store is loaded with variety of options including organic, vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, keto, some halal, dairy & lactose free. What I appreciated most in perusing the store is that it's quite obvious they're not contracted or paid by brands to fill aisles with or omit certain product brands. It's apparent that Recheck's care about what the community wants & needs. I didn't full on check the meat, fish & poultry department, but will update once I do. There's also an actual bank, Horicon, with an ATM & liquor store if those interest you to make it more of a one stop shop.

Rechek's Food Pride is a great store for specialty items for sure! Recently my daughter had her child dedication at church and we ordered the cake from Rechek's. They did a fantastic job of decorating the cake just the way I asked (actually, much better than I was anticipating!). The price was fair and the cake was very good.Recently I went to Rechek's looking for meat to make homemade beef jerky. The roast that I wanted was on sale, so I asked the butcher if I could get a larger one. He went in back for me and cut a roast as I waited. I was so impressed with the quality and the service, I came back the next day to get two more. The selection is great and they just updated the entire store. The only complaint I would have is that you are going to pay a little bit more than the big box stores, but that's to be expected. I would say their prices are in line with stores like Piggly Wiggly, Pick 'n Save and Sentry.

Let me start by saying that I love, love, LOVE this grocery store. It's small and it's humble but MAN, they know how to run a store! The staff here are fantastic--they always ask if they can help me find anything, and are ready and waiting to volunteer to help you get your bags out to the car (even if you only have one!). The customer service can't be beat. They also do a lot for the community, funding all kinds of kids activities and charity groups.I'm especially fond of their new produce section. They've redone the area and added some more organic produce. I stop in at least once a week to stock up on Ness Alla Kombucha (yes, they have it! So cool!) and organic salad greens. They have all the specialty greens mixes that I love--Zen Blend, Fresh Herbs, etc.The only thing I can't stand is the fact that they use so much plastic and styrofoam for their produce. Fruits, veggies and herbs don't need to be suffocated in plastic wrap on styrofoam trays. It's sinful, really. That's the only reason I'm not giving them 5 stars--but it's a BIG reason. Bunches of parsley and cilantro are smothered in plastic bags--you can't see what it looks like because the condensation collects on the bag and you're flying blind. Dear Rechek's,I love you. Please respect the planet and work on reducing our footprint. I'd buy so much more if it wasn't packaged so poorly. Thanks very much for listening and being so awesome, otherwise. ;)-Me

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Rechek's for their deli (pasta salads, etc.) and their brats. Hands down best brats that you can purchase anywhere. They have SO many different flavors. Pineapple and honey mustard are our favs. Everyone is very friendly as well. Also, great liquor department. Love that there are so many beer options! My only negative comment is that their prices are a bit higher than other bigger stores...which I get and I totally like to support a local company.

One of the best grocery stores in Beaver Dam. The deli has great chicken and salads. I love that you can see what is happening in the bakery and deli. The store is always clean and the employees are always very friendly and helpful. They have baggers who pack your groceries and take them out to your car. Something that you don't see too often. Really nice service that I wish more stores kept. The radio station they play is too loud and annoying.

This is probably the best grocery store in Beaver Dam. The aisles are wide enough for two carts to pass on by, the produce section is nice albeit a bit over priced, but Rechek's is really known for the house made sausage, it is pretty good and fairly priced. I would like see them carry more local products like Sassy Cow, and more.. Cashiers and baggers are friendly and the baggers even offer to help take the bags out to the car. They could do a better job on the ad prices and things on sale in the ad.

With the new owners Deli service has gone downhill. Tried to get Sliced cheese and was told they can't slice any you have to buy amounts they have sliced and prepackaged. So you're not truly a Deli then. We will just shop at Piggly Wiggly or Walmart as they will slice fresh for whatever amount you want and do it with a smile!

from the start to the ending was just bad. On receipt says cashier 40. I always have to drop my backpack off at service center like i as bugging her. she didn't put it behind the counter like the rest I dealt with. it was still in spot when I checked out. wallet was in there. Go to check out she very rude I asked if the wine and beer part were open because I just moved and selling laws yet. she said yes then waited for at the cash register by there. I put my basket on the counter she demanded me to take the stuff out of the basket and lay it on the small counter. Have quite a few things. Would of been easier and faster if she would have went basket to bag. I did her demands. She's just throwing things in bags didn't ask if I wanted paper because I did. I go to get cash back, she says she can't because we don't put money in the tills this early. we build it.. I'm putting stuff in my backpack, this is the part I'm mad about. she put raw hamburger and raw sausage with my fresh vegetables. As I'm walking out as she's giving "money" to a lottery winner, I couldn't get money remember. I ask if that's nor practice to raw meat with fresh vegetables. She said it's "wrapped " my goodness your gonna get someone sick. She then insulted me, by saying I could re bag it. as everything is separated by this time. What a joke she was even wearing a Grey suit looking like a manger...wow customer service is not hospitality at this place... ignorance is gonna get you sued!
