Pop's BBQ

OK, I haven't left a Yelp review in years and years but I had to put in a word for Pop's. I moved from North Florida to North Dakota and the absolute biggest thing I miss from the South (besides trees) is the gas station barbecue. Pop's filled that craving and then some!Meat was tender and full of flavor, with a great spice crust but not so much bark that you can't bite into it. Mac and cheese was nice and gooey with some extra zip from the spice mix. And I'm not usually one to get the sauce on top, but theirs took everything to another level. The ONLY thing I can quibble with is that they serve the bread separately instead of putting it at the bottom of the container to soak up all the juice. But that's all I've got. Eat here until you've got meat sweats and need a nap.

Yelp fam! Pops BBQ is a food truck located on 76th and good hope. You can't miss it, it's a big yellow food truck sitting in Andy's gas station. I very much enjoy the ribs here and they sell out quick so if you go I advise you to get there earlier in the day because the lines tend to get long and when they run out.. they run out. Memphis bbq and the sauce is great! I always either get a rib dinner or rib tips. They also have pulled pork, brisket and a few other options. Now the only thing is they don't have a ton of sides and they aren't my fav. But I go here for the wonderful bbq. Also the sides tend to change just a heads up. They are open only on the weekends (thurs- Sunday)Side note.. they do cater but you have to go up to the food truck the day of early in the morning when they are opening and get your order in. We've done that for a couple of birthdays and it was bomb!

I'm bought a large rib tip yesterday. When I got home to feed my kids, I noticed most of the pieces were burnt, dried out and literally rock hard. Needless to say I was very upset, $24.00 down the drain.

Great customer service. This goes to show depending on what part of the country you are from or how you personally either cook or like your bbq...depend on how enjoy or rate food. The food was good. I like my sauce spicy and my ribs with a little bite but not tough. Potato salad is also difficult... I don't care for a sweet tasting potato salad nor do I like pickle relish in my potato salad. I am obviously a little weird because this truck cranks out the bbq and ppl are willing to wait in line no matter the weather. I will go back and try more meats and sides. Always willing to support locally owned businesses! The smells alone are worth $$

I finally stopped by Pops for the first time after wanting to go forever. AND OMG!!!!!!! This place right here is like none other. I normally don't do lines in the hot sun, but ba beeeee . . . It was worth the wait. I bought the medium rib tips, a 4-rib snack with potato salad and corn and a rib tip dinner with baked beans and potato salad. Everything was delicious!!! Everybody loved their food. The rib tips and ribs were seasoned to perfection. This by far is the best place to get ribs and rib tips. The customer service was great, and the food was excellent. I will definitely go back . . . Line and all!

Finally...BBQ done right ! I had the Chicken Breast Sandwich .... Great ! Seasoned, Smokey Breast ... a BIG Breast at that ! Nice Memphis sauce. My buddies had the Ribs and Pulled Pork ... They LOVED IT .... POP's is gotitgoingon ... !

Portions generous for the price. Best smoked Mac and cheese!Workers were kind and service was quick!

I have eaten food from Pops for a while and it's usually good. I had to leave a review for the Turkey leg because it was NOT good. Bland bland bland no smoke flavor and the sauce for it tasted like ketchup with a little worchestershire in it. It's the worse Turkey leg I've had. Hopefully they improve it I won't buy it again though.

Best BBQ in city by far!Service is friendly and ortions are generous. The prices are very fair for what you get.

I went to Pop's BBQ food truck a few days ago and his food was delicious. It had taken along time for my order but was worth the wait. I had the ribs tips with his off the chain Mac and cheese. The Mac and cheese was hot and creamy and the rib tips were very tender. This was very filling for 2 people and we had leftovers the next day.
