I don't remember where, but I remember reading about the fish fry hear being one of the best in town, so I had it on my list to try for a couple of years.I finally got that chance last week. I left work a few minutes early to try and beat the rush. I got there at 5:00 and there was already a line out the door and no parking available in their huge lot! I ended up parking in a nearby cul de sac a couple of blocks away.It turned out the line out the door was for buying tickets. Once in, there was another line to be seated and there was a waiting area for people waiting to be called.Things to know:1) They ONLY serve fish fries on Fridays during Lent.2) They take reservations.3) You can get your fish fry to-go. Just let the people know when you buy your ticket(s). 4) Fish Fry is $12 for non-members ($11 for members) and is not all-you-can-eat, but you'll get plenty of food! $7 for kids age 6-12 and free for kids 5 and under.5) Your options are fried cod or baked cod.6) There is live music to enjoy if you dine in.7) If you get carry-out, they don't have plastic utensils to provide you, so don't plan to eat outside or in your car, or bring your own napkins and utensils if you do plan to eat in your car.I ordered mine for carry-out since I was pressed for time. They called my name 5 minutes later with my order. Friendly staff and very efficient. My fish fry came with 5 large pieces of perfectly cooked, hand-breaded cod that was white and flaky inside. The breading ratio was to my liking and not greasy at all.Sides including two types of cole slaw (creamy and an oil-based option), fresh marble rye bread slices, butter for the bread, crinkle cut fries (some were a bit over done and some a little soggy but not greasy), and 2 cheese and potato steamed pierogies! Yes, pierogies! Also, some tasty tartar sauce, but I didn't need it. I just squeezed a little lemon juice from the wedges they included. The bottom of my fish started to get a little soggy from the steam in the Styrofoam container, so hopefully you live close if getting carry-out.If they provided potato pancakes as an option or if the fries were perfect, this would be a 5-star review, but consider this a 4 1/2 star review. After I've completed my fish fry tour, I would definitely go back during Lent to get this fish fry again! You have 2 Fridays left this year to get yours.

My good friends held a fundraising party here for Special Olympics, but secretly snuck their wedding into the event. So impressive and classy, plus, they can tax-deduct much of their wedding. This is a beautiful venue for either a wedding or a party (or both), there's a nice dance floor, a cozy bar, it's really quite elegant and attractive. The staff is quite good, the food was better than you usually find at places like this, the parking lot is big, the grounds are attractive. We're coming back for the fish fry.

I booked my wedding here 2 years ago, and the manager Tom was fantastic. I had no doubts about booking here. The place is stunning, easy to find and ample parking for guests. Fast forward to this year in spring and I started to second guess. The new manager Martha is nice to an extent, she gives off a I don't want to be here attitude. Turns out she wasn't even present most of the day of my wedding. We also did our tasting with everyone else with events planned that year in the style of a buffet, it was very chaotic. I had to ask numerous time for the salmon because it was not set out in the buffet line. It was hard to ask questions with Martha or the banquet manger because of all the people. The banquet manager was great when we sat down to pick the menu and plan the day. We gave him the timeline, choices (we were having plated), color coding for the place cards, special instructions for appetizers, ect. Day of the wedding comes and the staff seems dumbfounded on the itinerary. No appetizers were set aside for the bridal party, no champagne poured for the toast, serving everyone dinner looked like it was their first time doing plated. I talked with him about serving the cupcakes and he said they traditionally don't but if I want to sure. A serving fee was added to the bill, which is fine but he could have mentioned it in our phone call. And they weren't even served, serving is individual plates not one big one plopped on the table. Guests didn't even have napkins. My mother asked for a lemon for her salmon and she was told no by the staff, they didn't have any lemons. That's absurd! My uncle had to go up the bar and ask for a lemon, and after receiving it he asked the bartender why was my mother told there were no lemons in the facility. The bartender didn't have an answer but apologized. After dinner the banquet manger asked my mother how everything was going, she told him all the things that didn't go to plan. Instead of the age old I'm sorry what can I do to make it better or something along those lines, he scolded my mother and put the blame on us. How has he been their sole caterer for years with that attitude towards people that are footing the bill?! The food and the venue I would give 5 stars, but the staff there I would not. They do not have putting your special day first at heart.

I had my retirement party at the Polish Center on December 29th 2018. It was an open house style for 150 guests. The hall was set up beautifully with table clothed rounds, side high tables. coffee and dessert tables. They placed center doilies and electric candles to add to the festive air as the hall's beautiful Christmas decorations were still up.The food, prepared by Mike Norman, was buffet style in the main entrance hall separate from the tables. I am still receiving compliments from my guests on both the hall and the food. The quality and variety of the food was excellent. I had options for meat lovers as well as for my vegetarian friends.Music was provided by Jim Gaff who along with his co-performers Mark and Tim (with Laura assisting on sound) entertained my guests to rave reviews.I cannot say enough about the staff from Martha the banquet manager to to John and his bar crew. They provided more than I ever expected and made it a memorable evening for all.I would not hesitate to book here again. I know whatever they do they will do with professionalism and excellence.Kudos to Executive Director Jeff Kuderski on assembling a great group of people to coordinate Polish Center events.

Went there for a Pierogi Fest. Price was good as was the food. Service was excellent and is all volunteers. Way to go!!! We were going to go for Mom's day brunch but they were full by the time my daughter called for reservations. Have gone for brunch in the past it and it was always very good. I used to like their fish fry during Lent but 2 years ago it seemed different so have not gone since. Location is great with easy parking and landscape of area is worth the visit to see. There is a gift shop and Polish history style library upstairs. Sometimes they have art or craft shows up there too. In addition, its neat to look at all the old pictures on the hallway walls.

recently had my wedding there, worked with 4 different people within a two month period before my wedding. Tom was the 2nd person and was great wrote everything down explained everything. Sadly after he left it went downhill ted was nice, but not there long. Then carol carol came in 2 weeks before my wedding. Carol is a joke wouldn't honor anything I had in writing wouldn't acknowledge the receipts I had. Would state something then say she didn't say it. Made the weeks before my wedding a living hell!!! She has no clue how to run a banquet facility.

My daughter recently had her wedding at the Polish Center of Wisconsin. The entire day was wonderful! Martha and the head chef were very kind and great to work with. Many people commented that the food was delicious and it was possibly the nicest wedding they ever attended! We held the entire event there, from the ceremony, to the pictures (surrounding grounds are beautiful), to the fabulous dinner, to the dancing, so there was no driving involved. The price was reasonable also. I believe the Polish Center of Wisconsin is a hidden gem and definitely worthy of any event.

I attended a wedding here about a week ago and initially the venue was completely fine. The issue i had was with the staff and the level of respect/care given to guests. First off, I sat down at my table and noticed my water glass had not been filled. I assumed they would come around to fill it as soon as they saw me sit down. No one ever came. Finally, I had to ask the banquet captain for water near the end of the meal. The servers were rude, rushed guests, and did not serve all guests. My boyfriend was not sitting at the table when they served the salads so they just didn't serve him one, after i stated that someone was sitting there. I had to move mine over and flag someone down to get a replacement.Additionally, I went to the bar around 10pm (the wedding went until 11:30pm) and asked for coffee. The bartender rolled his eyes, and shoved the container of sugar in my face stating "get what you want now, because I'm not gonna do this all night! The caterers want to go home too". No sir, that is not how you treat a guest, especially when no one was going home for another 1.5 hours! Overall, I was unimpressed with the level of service, respect and care taken by the staff.

WARNING: do not go to the Polish Community Center for a Friday fish fry. Horrible service. Worst service I have ever had at a restaurant. That is, unless you love waiting 1 1/2 hours to be seated after having your name passed over 3 times, without an apology. When you are finally seated and go up to fill your plate with fish you have to wait another 10 minutes in line, then when you are finally next to the food there is no fish. $5 beers. Total time 3 hours. Go somewhere else.
