We tried to call to make a reservation. Went to voicemail which was full so unable to do that. Instead walked in and had to wait. They call you when your table is ready. Mainly teenagers working, many of whom seemed new and didn't really know what was going on or where things were located. The wine is reasonably priced but the pour is about 3 ounces. So maybe not. When they called, I asked what I was supposed to do now that the table is ready. They told me to walk back to the host stand. He walked away before I got there and the other person was processing a payment for carry out with customers. So I had to stand waiting for someone with my drink in hand while my husband paid the bar tab. He passed the bar when he walked away so it would've been easy for him to just seat us on his way. The bar had only about 8 chairs and some were empty. We were easy to find. They only had Brussels sprouts for veggie which I can't eat. They would only sub a salad after I told them I couldn't eat them. Server made me describe the allergy. Husband ordered the Brussels sprouts appetizer for himself. Pricy but huge. He said they were good. I couldn't eat them. He got the salmon salad and said it was good. I got the flank steak. The chimichurri was awful so I scraped it off. The steak was okay. Marinated flank steak is usually quite tender. His was a bit tougher than usual. The potatoes were supposed to be seasoned but didn't taste like it. Had to add salt (and normally never salt food at a restaurant) and pepper. The side salad was good but was very, very heavy on the shredded carrots and cheese. Like they used a ladle to put them on. Overall the place is okay. It is a bit noisy and feels a bit like a cafeteria in the table set up. You can see everyone in the place. It's rectangular and long. We will perhaps give it another try. There are so many other good places to eat in the area. Definitely makes it hard to choose.

The cheese curds were great. The Friday fish fry was over breaded and soggy plus it lacked flavor. Maybe the oil was old? The French fries were good that my wife had. The potato pancakes were also very bland. They looked great but lacked flavor. I would suggest on the fish less breading, more flavorful batter and smaller pieces that aren't soggy. Keep the same servicing ounces for size. Great staff. Very helpful. Very nicely redesigned but the LED lights are bright white and harsh. I would dim them or change the color to something warmer if possible.

This was our first visit after driving past it a few times. They had yummy bloody mary's. The Creme Brulee French Toast was delicious and I enjoyed the southwest skillet...wish it was a little spicier!

Hadn't been since the new owners and had high expectations. The place is nice. And large. We arrived early for fish fry and the place was not busy at all. Our old fashioneds were delicious! Got our table in the empty dining area and received a basket of rolls. Dense and dry. Fish fry's looked really good but looks were deceiving. The blue gills were beer battered. An abomination! Barely any fish to be found inside the heavy, doughy, almost beignets like batter. Not sure why we didn't notice that on the menu. The truffle fries were garden variety, coated fries with some seasoning but not awful. The broiled cod was nicely seasoned and not bad but nothing special. My perch was what I would consider, quality, real lake perch. Although small, would have been excellent had the breading not been so soggy. The potato pancakes were great. All in all, fish fry was very disappointing.

Went for lunch and really enjoyed our experience. Nice bar area where we sat at a high top table. Drink and beer selection is extensive and the food was really good. We had tempura cauliflower for a appetizer that was light and tasty. My wife had a Caesar salad with salmon that she really enjoyed and I had a chicken salad sandwich with fries that were very good. Our server Mitch was awesome in that he was ver attentive and personable so we really enjoyed our time there. Will definitely be coming back.

Went in with a group of guys on a Wednesday evening. We set a reservation ahead of time, so we had a table waiting for us when we arrived. I would call the atmosphere a hip and trendy bar, which as a young adult I thought was alright! Our server was accommodative and on top of drinks. Food came out in about 15-20 minutes. I ordered the (grilled) chicken bacon ranch, which was delicious. Their fries are THEE crispy, flaky bar fries you're looking for. All-in-all, an enjoyable weeknight spot.

BF had the pan fried perch. Fish was pitiful. 5 very tiny pieces. Seasoning was bland. Like none. I had beer batter cod. 3 nice sized pieces but salty. Potato pancakes were bland and very crispy. Coleslaw just tasted like raw cabbage. General theme was no seasoning across the board. I said when we pulled in for the parking lot to be half empty at 6pm on a Friday that was a warning sign. Service was great.

Everything about the layout is perfect and comfortable. Sunday staff really a pleasure to have. Had the spotted cow curds, which I rate right up there with state fairs. Eggs Benedict was almost perfect. Just missed being great. They were too cinchy with the sauce. Barely covered the eggs. Darn good hash browns. Looking forward to next time.
