New dawn, new day, a new Pizza Man! I'm so glad to see Pizza Man return to Downer Ave., and even more excited that their new vibe and menu is a hit! Their pizza has always been strong, but now offering up incredible chef made pasta dishes and more! Service on our last visit was impeccable. When I had a question about the special pasta of the day, they checked in with chef and reported details while bringing our drink order. A pasta with lamb ragu was top notch, with a nice glass of red, Frank Sinatra and others providing the soundtrack, in a relaxed but nicely decorated atmosphere! Nice upgrade on Downer Ave.!

Stopped into Pizza Man for the first time in a few years and it didn't disappoint!I started with a hot honey margarita which was great! We got 2 pizzas. An Atomica and build your own with prosciutto, onions, and hot honey. Both were delicious and we love the super thin, crispy crust. Service was very fast and there are plenty of tables to stop in to get drinks or split a couple things.

My dining companion and I had a pleasant experience at Pizza Man on Downer. The lighting was moody and comfortable and the music was enjoyable, but it did get a little loud as the tables in our section were a little close together. For a starter, we went with the eggplant fries, which was absolutely the correct decision. They were crispy on the outside but melt-in-your-mouth tender on the inside. The marinara was delicious, but the creamy Parmesan sauce took the dish to the next level. It provided much-needed tangy-ness that cut through the richness. We split a build-your-own pizza, and it was alright. If you're into thin crust, you'd probably be better off ordering that than the pan crust we decided on. The pizza wasn't remarkable, but it might be better if you went for a speciality option. The dessert menu appeared to have some good options, and we landed on the cannoli. But, for $8, I wish we would have gone with something else. The tiramisu was the same price and would have been better to split than a cannoli that you can polish off in two bites. The flavor of the cannoli was pleasant enough, but it was overpriced. Though it took our server a bit to make her first stop to our table, service throughout the rest of the evening was fantastic. She was attentive and the food came out quickly. Despite it not being a ~perfect~ experience, I largely enjoyed my time at Pizza Man on Downer. Next time I'm in the area, I'll definitely consider stopping in.

I haven't been to pizza man in a couple of years, it's a whole different vibe now. It feels fancier inside which is great if that's what you want but I kinda of missed the booths/ when the pizza came out on wire racks instead of just a big plate . The pizza was alright, I wasn't blown away. I ate the artichoke a la mode and the artichoke tasted and looked straight from a can. We got two deserts, the tiramisu was great. The crème brûlée was burnt on top but under was good.

Food was tasty, good happy hour, and service could use some work. Ordered a glass of $7 wine from happy hour menu and tried the brussel sports for half off, good deal. The pizza we ordered was GF and yummy! The service could have been better as we sat at the bar and always had someone new helping us but no one ever gave us real attention.

I frequented Pizza Man when it was nestled in its cozy, welcoming, brick-lined grotto on North Avenue, before the tragic fire. It always had one of the top two delicious thin crust pizzas in town (Zaffiro's being the other one). On my first visit shortly after it first opened on Downer, the pizza was great, just as remembered. On this return visit, a while after it'd closed and reopened, the pizza just wasn't the same. Hard to pin down how to describe the problem. The toppings and cheese were fine -- hard to ruin those -- but the crust was odd, tasted like, well, cardboard, and the edges were burned and dried out.The server, ALY, was a delight . . . and, when I won a silly bet, she paid for my spumoni! But, I'll be "once bitten, twice shy" about the pizza from now on. . . if I return.

I'm a long time super fan of this thin crust pizza. Our first time here since reopening. I'm sorry to say the crust is too similar to Papa Murphys.Tastes and looks like a frozen disc. Toppings were great, new atmosphere is really nice, good service. But we're here for pizza, right?

We have gone twice so far and both times it has been great. The new location has an incredible outdoor patio. We were unable to use this space due to the weather but walked outside for a bit to have a drink and look at the views. The cheese curds are outstanding, very similar to the ones at iron horse hotel which are the best in the city. We has great pizza, service, apps and drinks. I can't wait to go back once the weather heats up so we can have drinks on the patio.
