It's one of the more decent places in the area, and mostly a breakfast/lunch joint now. Service and food is good, can't really complain. Plus, there aren't a ton of other options for family-style dining in Westfield.I've been going here since I was a kid and despite some changes, it still offers a decent menu with friendly service.

Food was good, service was great. Waitress that was supposed to serve our table was busy, so another waitress stepped up quickly and was ours for the whole meal. There was a guy that refilled our waters and he liked to pour from a distance which was entertaining.

This is our go to stop for breakfast on our way up north. By the looks of it, we aren't alone. We typically get the country fried steak or skillets. Today I tried the cinnamon french toast which seemed to be made on homemade/local cinnamon bread that was crusted one cinnamon sugar - yum! Their bacon is thick cut and a little crispy. All the menu items we've tried have been delicious. Although we have not tried much of their lunch menu, the meals being served to other tables look equally as delicious. Staff is always friendly and efficient. You could be in an out in 30 minutes if you want, but they wouldn't mind if you sat sipped coffee all day. The name describes the atmosphere perfectly. It's got a great north woods feel but is clean and comfortable. There is a good mix of booths, tables, and counter space. Our server today heard that it was my husband's birthday, without even being asked she brought us a huge piece of snickers pie (her favorite) that was decorated with chocolate, whipped cream, and peppermint then topped with a trick candle. She made his day!

OK, so a few folks had a rub with the owner, i get that. But sometimes if there is a problem, perceived or otherwise, how it is delt with can make a whole situation different. That being said, our expectations in a restaurant may not be the same as other folks.WE found the food and service here to be excellent. The quantity and quality of food served was top notch. The menu is extensive and has breakfast all day, something I really enjoy. The restaurant itself was clean, neat and decorated in knotty pine, giving a somewhat north woods feeling.When in the area, we will definately stop there again.

Food was good, nothing spectacular. Definitely the most expensive breakfast we have paid for, probably ever. $3.50 for a lousy cup of coffee. (I heard the table next to us complaining about the coffee). Our server was really nice, but that's not enough for me to spend $50 with tip for breakfast for 2 people again. Sorry Pioneer, you aren't that good.

It's been at least 3 years since I've been here. The first time was Thanksgiving and it was spectacular. I'm here today for breakfast and have no complaints. The food was great. But the best par was the young man who greeted us and took our order was unbelievably OUTSTANDING! The nicest young man and with a great smile makes the trip here worthwhile. We will definitely return and recommend this place to everyone

Family gathering for breakfast.Menu selection was good but items overpriced.Food came fast but was cold.Worst of all, after we were all done eating.
