My friends and I did a girls trip to Waterford and ended up finding this cute winery along the way. We absolutely loved the area, there's plenty of seating both inside and outside. The staff was incredibly helpful and gave us amazing recommendations on what wines to try. I would definitely recommend this to anyone in the nearby area.

I wasn't sure what to expect from my visit at Pieper Porch, but I was delighted by the experience. It was surprisingly affordable. My party of three ordered three flights of wine - dry, semi-sweet, and sweet. Each flight had five different varieties of wine and it only cost $5.00 per flight. You can also mix and match wines if you don't want to go with a predetermined list. For $7.00 they also offered a white cranberry and blueberry wine slushie. It was delicious. There isn't a lot of seating, so it's a good idea to bring your own chairs. They also don't offer any food, so a little picnic or charcuterie board would be fun. I'd highly recommend trying out Pieper Porch. It's such a unique experience and you really can't find anything else like this in the Waukesha area.

This was a fun experience but the wine was just ok. The staff was friendly and helpful. Arrive early as they get very busy. Inside is air conditioned but seating is limited to 90 min. Outside seating is unlimited, we stayed from 11-3.

I love visiting wineries because they typically have a welcome feel and the staff are so personable. Unfortunately Pieper porch did not give me this feel, they are more touristy I guess. They were very busy so you get the low down on how the tasting works and the sheet outside you then mark your options take it inside to pay then to the bar to get your tasting board which you then take back outside for the pours. The wine was ok but I'm pretty sure they do not grow any of their grapes on-site, yes they're were Gracie's vines but I don't think they are actually producing. The wines for the most part are made from grapes that cannot be grown in Wisconsin. It just not the typical type of winery I like visiting

Good selection of dry reds listed which drew us to this location. Unfortunately, just 3 were available for tasting. That's ok. We were happy to purchase a glass of another type. Nope. Only by the bottle. Such a disappointment.

tl;dr Who doesn't want to eat their own snacks while drinking award-winning wine on a beautiful giant-ass porch!?Super impressed with a fun day at Pieper Porch Winery & Vineyard. I had it highly recommended to me by a friend with the simple notion that you can try a lot of wine, bring your own snacks and enjoy a beautiful day - sold.Family owned and operated, it's an awesome deal to go into the tasting room. You get five samples to start out with and another five samples (and signature Pieper Porch wine glasses) for $5. Everyone in the tasting room is very knowledgeable and didn't hesitate giving recommendations per what we liked. I enjoy sweeter whites while the guy I was with likes the drier reds. After the tasting, you can buy a bottle or just pay by the glass. I bought two bottles to take home.******Several of the wines are Wisconsin State Fair Award winning - I asked more about the process and many of the over 60 wineries around southeastern Wisconsin submit wines to the state fair tasting, so the fact these guys are winning year after year in most cases is impressive!*******The wines I enjoyed especially: Lemon, Lime, White Cranberry, Wildflower White, Phantom Princess, Lone Buck Red and Firefly (surprised I liked those last two, since, you know, reds.)WINE SLUSHIES - there were two wine slushy options while I was there - Winter Apple and Pomegranate Cranberry - I preferred the Winter Apple but only because I like cinnamon.)BYOS: Bring your own snacks people! They don't have kitchen for commercial use, but they welcome the idea of you bringing a Yogi-bear-style picnic basket filled with your heart's desires. We went "classy" with cheese, sausage and crackers (the fancy kind).I live in downtown Waukesha and decided to take an Uber there - it was only about 15 minutes away, technically in Mukwonago out in a more rural area that includes a lot of nearby barns. You can possibly get turned around, but they do have a giant "open" flag and sandwich-board style sign to confirm you're at the right place. Plenty of parking at the bottom of the hill, but it does fill up fast!I saw a huge range of people while I was there - young couples on dates, girls day out, older families visiting and even a bachelorette party was there on a Saturday.NOTE: They are only open Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. - so get your day drink on.

Was 4:44 and they wouldn't open our bottle to enjoy one glass of wine on the porch after spending $70 because last call is 4:45. Drove 40 minutes to be there. Will not be coming here again. Poor service.

Such a treat to have found this little gem in Mukwonago. Family operated business and when you arrive you feel like one of the family. Everyone is so welcoming and friendly. The wine tasting is so fun and including a large variety of wines to try for everyone. Delicious fruit wines, white and red wines, and a wonderful gift shop. Bring snacks, a group of friends, and hang out on the patio! It's an amazing way to spend the afternoon.

Great "hidden gem" in my opinion. Went to Fazio's in Elm Grove, WI to get chocolates. When there, I got a bottle of wine that the wife loved. When looking at the bottle, I noticed the bottle noted it was made in Waukesha, WI.Eventually, looked it up online and saw it was about 20 minutes from the house, so we gave it a try. It's technically in Mukwonago, and we went during the fall/winter (Which is their slow time of the year).Got there and it was a small little winery with an indoor sitting area. Can bring your own food, which can be need for kids. They had some pretzels with mustard and ended up getting that.As for the wine, you can get various flights (Sweet, Dry, and I think one other) which is 5 samples, a couple ounces each. The wines were good, don't recall a bad one (Got a Sweet flight). You can also purchase wine bottles in the building as well towards the back.Never heard of this place before Fazio's. Now having been there twice, would no question go back and bring in family if they stop by. Bottom line, highly recommend!
