100% freshness. Fresh fruits and vegetables. They even have a $16 watermelon . I had to try this. It was good! Maybe worth more like $12,but it was delicious. There's even a hot foods and deli section. Must visit

I have been wanting to try this place for a while after seeing check ins regularly and driving past the other location so many times, today I'm stopping and not driving by. Plenty of parking in the dedicated parking lot was nice. The place is more like a fresh market and has more than produce with fresh seafood, fresh produce, limited pre cooked items, fresh meat, dry/can goods etc etc. The produce is arranged farmers market style with baskets that have a price on the along with bins of individual produce, most is in baskets too large for me with good prices and bad for a mix and match person but I did get 3 pounds of baby plums for $2. I liked the variety of the produce and the prices but I don't want 3 pounds of multiple items each to make work lunch salads and fruit snacks, this works more for families than individuals so I was limited with today's experience. I like the concept but it's not for me and to the one employee who passed me and said hi, your cool.

This is one of my favorite fruit markets for fresh fruits and produce. The fruits last longer without refrigeration, especially the apples, which is my personal favorite, the wife prefers oranges and bananas. It's all good stuff at this fruit market.

This store opened this past Thursday, it was a long time coming. this is the second location in the city. The difference between this store and the southside location its much bigger. Like the other location, they had budget baskets of produce ($1-$4) tomatoes, sweet potatoes, plantains ,bell peppers, lime, onions. They also carry specialty produce prickly pears, name (Africano name),plantain. They have a small meat and seafood department, African/Caribbean -Jamaican food section - ginger beer, kola champagne. The shelf items are expensive. West African food lovers- they have fufu, gari, palm oil, crushed melon seeds. I wish they had a hot and cold deli section like the other store. I am happy either way its right on North Ave. and King Drive its about 7mins by car from downtown and 15 minutes by bus- the bus stop is right in front of the store. Outside the store they have a couple food trucks - a nice touch. They have lots of parking.

I find the fruit in this store to be 3rd rate at best. Prices are low but so is the quality of the fruit. In fairness, the slab bacon was ok and the veggies are a much better quality than the fruit. Overall, it is not a one stop shop for me. I don't think it is worth the trip to go to this store anymore as it is too far from my home.

Pete's fruit Market at 2323 N. Dr Marian Luther King Dr. is a clean store filled with friendly, helpful staff! I have been their twice since it opened. I was impressed by the excellent customer service! The prices were on par with the big chain stores for the fruits and vegetables. The grocery products were slightly more expensive, but not by much. I would much rather pay a little more and get excellent customer service at a clean store than pay less at a store with terrible customer service. The staff clearly cares about their customers and take pride in their store. I hope this continues! If it does, I will be a lifelong shopper there! This is a neighborhood that needs jobs so please support this location!

So excited to find a great variety of fresh produce with so little plastic packaging! My kind of place. Just like being at an outdoor market without the weather. And more reasonable prices. Don't know why we took so long before going here. A basket of zucchini for $3. Basket of bananas for $2. Basket of kale for $1. We didn't check the meat counter but there were folks there. The staff and manager greeted us very kindly which I don't get at big stores. Easy parking. We'll be back soon!
