Pernat’s Of Ixonia

I like Pernats for the fresh meat and cheese yet I mainly go there to get my dog bones and pig ears but they have lately been out of them. The service is okay, lots of employees who don't really seem like they want to be there or want to help me. The ambiance is dark and kind of unwelcoming but I still go in from time to time.

This is the exact reason why I keep a Cooler In my trunk because you never know where you will end up on a day/weekend trip. I had breakfast in Oconomowoc this morning and I jumped on yelp when I was done to look for a meat market and this place was five miles away so I drove over, they needed a Steve stop by anyway because of zero pictures of the place. The place has a nice mix of prepackaged items, pre prepared, sausages, meats, sticks, deli, beer, wine, smoked items, fresh items etc etc. I always look for hot sticks and at least one other house made item to take with me. I ended up getting a package of the hot sticks and the smoked pork chop vs the smoked polish sausage was a hard choice but the sausage won.Im updating this review after cooking the polish sausage and I really liked it because it was moist/tasty/lean with no fatty/grisly chunks with that great snappy casing. I ate it all natural for an honest tasting and it's very worthy of a nice piece of good fresh of bread and fresh toppings.The hot sticks were pretty tasty/good but not very hot to my taste and 100 times better than the big name sausage company in Milwaukee that was just a total let down. The good thing about always trying new things all the time and all over is you know what's good and what's not. I have not tried the polish sausage yet but I will update my review when I have.

Fantastic beef sticks (especially the spicy habanero), summer sausage and bacon - and great pricing - well worth the visit!

Drove 45 minutes to drop off some venison scraps with a friend of mine. When we showed up there were a line of people dropping deer off. We said we might as well stand in line. We were in line for roughly 1/2 hr, when we got up to our turn we were greeted by a very rude woman. her words were " We cannot do scraps know, do you see how busy we are ? " WOW! I looked at my friend and we were speechless. They couldn't have told us that sooner or post they do not take scraps on their website during gun season. What would it have took this woman, an extra 2 minutes to get the weight of the scraps. Very, Very rude woman and if they like turning down business so be it. Never again will I go to the Ixiona location and I will make sure I let as many people I can, to suggest taking their Deer or venison scraps elsewhere. If I could give this place 0 stars I would simply because of this rude woman.

Great store! I give them business BECAUSE of the Blue Lives Matter flag!! If they had the burn loot and murder flag up , I would not!!Their products are first rate all the way!!They do their best to MAGA!

This place is great, always fresh foods, great steaks and the staff is top notch. Always looking to help. This is the only place I buy my chicken from. They also do deer processing. They have the best beef sticks I have ever had... cheesy sweet & hots are delish. Highly recommended
