Penguin foods catered my wedding. They were so nice, polite and professional. They made our wedding day and the reception a joy. Everyone at the reception commented how delicious the food was. Their baked chicken and beef was amazing. The au gratin potatoes are to die for. The green bean casserole was the best I have ever had. I ordered haluski, a Polish/Ukrainian dish and they were the best I ever had.John was so nice and accommodating and worked with me and all my requests. If you are looking to cater a banquet, family reunion, wedding reception, etc., please consider Penguin Foods. You will not be disappointed, but rather delighted with every aspect of their service! I would give them six out of five stars if I could.

They have a Polish Hunters Stew, to die for. With the exception of the steps to enter-I would go back.

Best jerky in town Rockford must! Stop in on a Friday for the smoked chicken and paczki love this place!

This place has been a Rockford staple forever, and for good reason. They have pork, beef, and sampler 'boxes' where you can stock up the freezer and save up to 15-20% or more vs a grocery store, and the quality is always first-rate. I also love the Polish deli meats and the homemade jerky!Also, while you are at the counter, notice the ANTIQUE cooler door and the conveyor that they use to roll in the hanging meats. It's a neat store that reminds me of when I was a little kid. You don't find neat little details like that large chain supermarkets or the grocery aisles of Wal-Mart or Target.Penguin comes with my highest recommendation.

Best polish sausage and house-smoked meats in the area. The sauerkraut in the cooler is a meal onto itself! Ethnic bread assortment trucked in fresh from chicago friday mornings- go early, the locals will take their pick first!

Polish food staples such as fresh sausage, stuffed cabbage and pierogies are all available here and are all very good. As mentioned in previous posts their beef jerky is available in several different flavors and is also very good. I'd highly recommend anyone in the Rockford area to try this place.

Catered my daughters wedding. Just excellent. The food, the wait staff, THE PRICE. John was wonderful, very thorough and professional. Highly recommend.

These guys are great. Besides all the great food they have they also make regular trips to Chicago to pick up specialty items. I just used them last week to get a couple dz Pączki's. They were GREAT!

Great Polish old style butcher and caterer.. Stocks Great bread from Chicago's Racine and Bruno bakery that comes once a week. Call to find out when it comes in. Only place where I've ever seen 'Beef Bacon' Great sausages, cabbage rolls, roasted meets. Very good offers on meet boxes.
