Peking Chinese Restaurant

Not the best Chinese food but pretty good for Janesville, WI. The portions were generous and the service was excellent! We will definitely eat here again. We had the Mongolian beef, Snow White chicken, sweet & sour soup, plus a couple of egg rolls that were all really good.

First time for me to go since I was tired of meat and sausage kind of meal here in Wisconsin. My potstickers was deep fried not shallow fried and was frozen kind. I know that from bottom part line of the dumplings. Dinner combination I had were huge portion but food itself were not great. Price were so low but as balanced with quality of food. Wait staff was so kind and pleasant I wish quality of food the same. I gave a star for food and another star for her.

So much food! Giant portions, and super budget friendly. The staff has always been extremely friendly and helpful. My favorite is the complimentary tea (I don't know how I do it, but I always finish the kettle!) and the sweet and sour chicken with fried rice dish is my go-to. Oh, and don't forget the egg drop soup and those little crunchy things. My mouth is watering just thinking about it! Definitely the best Chinese place in Janesville!

We used to go all the time. Now that the owners let their children take over this place it is slowly becoming less appealing. We were told at 7:35 that we have to hurry and order because the kitchen's going to close at 7:50. No one even greeted us first with a "Hello".Never have I been turned away or felt like I didn't belong in a restaurant a 1/2 hour before closing. I have worked in restaurants myself. All restaurants serve customers until the actual closing time at 8. The food quality is going down and the prices are going up. To which we all understand. But, customer service is what keeps people coming in. If you don't want to serve people until closing time posted, close earlier. I can not rate the food because we left. This was a Saturday night.

This the worst Chinese food every, I ordered fried rice, should have been called onion fried rice, the onion pieces were huge it was more onion than shrimp, egg foo yung was a messy pile of of mushy vegetables and orange chicken, had no flavor at all, oh and the rice was also under cooked.i call i was able to get my money back, but they were rude, male came from kicthen tone was unpleasant, she mention they had been open for 33 years, this place was terrible, don't go!

I always get it extremely spicy if you order extra red peppers they will break them up for you. I like the princess beef, princess chicken, Szechuan shredded chicken, and the triple wonder.

We drive an hour to eat at Peking. It is the best food. We discovered it by accident and it has now become a favorite. The food and portions are great. The staff are super friendly. Highly recommend this restaurant!!

Ive been here ever since I was a baby and still love it! Egg drop soup and Peking steak is my favorite!

I think the best part about this experience was the person who answered the phone and took our order. Very kind and accommodating! The food, unfortunately was not great. We had the General Chicken, Sweet and Sour Shrimp, egg rolls , beef wontons and their version of crab rangoon. The General's Chicken was described as spicy. It was not. The chicken was plentiful but the vegetables were not.The Sweet and Sour Shrimp was ok. Not bad but just ok. Not very crispy. Very few vegetables. The eggrolls were made with ground beef which I did not care for. I prefer roasted pork. I don't actually believe I've ever had eggrolls with just ground beef in them? They had very little meat overall. They were just ok. The beef wontons had the tiniest bit of meat in them. So. So. Tiny of an amount.The Crab Wontons or Crab Rangoon were the biggest disappointment. I do not believe there was any crab in them whatsoever.

I can't comment on the food here as they had a sign at the door "we closed".I called on Friday to be sure they would be open, because my husband and I were driving from Cary, IL. The flippant female I spoke with on Friday said "why wouldn't we be open?" Yes in deed, why wouldn't you? A special trip of 61 miles (one way) and almost an hour and a half to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary. We even called before we left, no answer. That didn't surprise you don't open until 11:00. How very nice of you to put on your web site at 11:00 Monday that you would not be open. You ruined what should have been a very pleasant day for us. Too bad yelp does not have negative ratings.
