If you're a fan of peanut butter, jelly, or the classic combo of the two, this place is a must-visit! We first discovered their Honey Roasted Peanut Butter at a farmers market and instantly fell in love. It's the perfect blend of creamy and chunky and great with anything. We had said when we bought it that we would have to make it a point to go to the store and try some of the menu. When we ran out of peanut butter it was the perfect excuse. The inside is decorated with old lunchboxes (that you can buy or trade) and has that nostalgia feel that pairs perfectly with a PB&J. The staff is incredibly friendly and patient, happily guiding you through the menu full of delicious pre-made combinations and plenty of options to customize your order.I opted for the Bagel PB, featuring Honey Roasted Peanut Butter, honey, and cinnamon on a grilled bagel--absolutely divine! My husband tried The King, a grilled sandwich loaded with Honey Roasted Peanut Butter, sliced bananas, honey, and bacon. We also shared a cup of Tomato Basil Soup from The Soup Market and enjoyed their signature Peanut Butter and Jelly Deli Root Beer. Everything was flavorful, satisfying, and filling. Before leaving, we couldn't resist grabbing another tub of their Honey Roasted Peanut Butter to take home.

I stopped at Peanut Butter and Jelly Deli a couple times after they opened in 2017, but had since forgot about them as I discovered lunch spots closer to work. I recently wanted a PB&J at home (we were out of jelly though **sad**) so having one for lunch sounded good. I ordered the Grilled Cheese & Jelly on Vienna white bread with American cheese and grape jelly. I also ordered the Double Decker on 7 grain wheat bread with natural peanut butter and strawberry kiwi jam.As a kid my mom would make me a cheese and jelly sandwich for cold lunch at school, so the Grilled Cheese & Jelly was super nostalgic. The sandwich was large (appreciated for the price) and the grape jelly was great. The American cheese was a little overpowered by the jelly, but not enough to be a problem. I'd get this again.I didn't love the 7 grain wheat bread on the Double Decker. It was a little dense, so the sandwich sat heavy as I ate it and the bread flavor was almost too strong. They don't have smooth style peanut butter that I prefer, so I went with the natural peanut butter which has lots of small pieces of peanuts in it. It's not my favorite kind, but it was good for what it was. I thought it was odd that their strawberry kiwi is just strawberry jelly and kiwi jam separate from each other, not mixed together as one jam. I probably wouldn't get the Double Decker again, but can't fault anyone that does.I bought a couple of Peanut Butter and Jelly Deli branded sodas too, specifically the root beer and strawberry rhubarb. I've only opened the root beer so far and, while it's not Sprecher, it's pretty good.

While I can't justify paying $8+ (after tip and tax) for a simple PB sandwich more than once, I've since purchased a few of their jarred goods to support their business! I love that they also host some small comedy shows and such and the owner was super friendly!

Visited for carry-out for the first time a few weeks ago. I wanted ordered the Six Points Special because I wanted to try their peanut butter and jelly products straight up. I also ordered The King because it sounded amazing, and I thought it would showcase their PB&J sandwich making skills. As we know, the bread can make or break a sandwich. In this case the white bread I asked for on the Six Point Special broke it. I expected soft, fresh bread. It was firm and added a dry texture. I gave up on the sandwich after a few bites. On the positive side, the peanut butter and grape jelly tasted good. The King is served on bread "grilled" a panini press, which I liked. It is made with sliced bananas, their house-made peanut butter, and honey. Adding bacon is an option, and that was what I wanted, but they were out. Someone forgot to check bacon inventory over the weekend. My sandwich needed more honey or something to offset the dry bread and mouthfeel of the peanut butter. Maybe bacon would have helped a little. I think I will stick to making my own PB&J's, but I would be willing to use their nut butters and jellies when I do.

I went to the pb&j deli in Madison, the owner was so much fun and had me laughing over the apple butter I bought this weekend. There is so many jams, jellies and peanut butter to chose from. I did not try a sandwich but I told him that I will be back to try a peanut butter and grilled cheese sandwich.

Food was good, service was slow and the staff used language not appropriate for customer service! The owner only cares about money and has chased down previous staff to "warn them" about bad reviews. Hire better staff and keep your bad attitude at home so money can be made.

Great selections for a classic sandwich. Explore your horizons with all types of butters and toppings. Let the little kid come out or the adult with interesting pallet.

tl;dr - the shop of your childhood dreams that you can now enjoy as an adult! This review comes from someone who has a very intense/serious relationship with peanut butter (using it with apples, pretzels, for sandwiches and even with mini chocolate bars) so finding a good place with good peanut butter is a God sent. You can choose from peanut butter, honey-roasted peanut butter, almond butter, cashew button or peanut butter& dark chocolate (yum!)For the other part of your sandwich, jellies, jams, butters, salsas and even more line the walls. It's like the "Willy Wonka" site of fruit-based spreads. The nut butters are all made in house at the shop and you can purchase any jars of the butters, jams and jellies to take home. You can build your own or go with the already tried and tested signature sandwiches - my favorite included: The King (PB with sliced bananas and honey and you can add bacon), Strawberry Lovers (PB, strawberry jam and fresh strawberries - I also added Nutella) and PBJ Quesadilla (flour tortilla with choice of PB, jam/jelly, fresh fruit.)The additional toppings you can add gets wild, too - like I mentioned bacon, to jalapenos, to pickles, to Sriracha, to mallow creme is all of the docket. The owner is also super warm and friendly and talked with us for a quiet a while during our first visit. Great customer service.ALERT - it is only open Tuesday-Sunday from 10 am to 3 pm - sorry no late-night PBJ runs, however, it does have free wifi available which is a big draw during the daytime if you have to work remotely.

If you haven't been and you feel nostalgic sometimes about the old PB&J your Mom used to make you as a kid, then you HAVE TO give this place a try! WOW...nothing plain old PB&J about that sandwich. All of their creations sound delicious and I can't wait to be back and try some more of them. I had The King, named after Elvis himself and it was AMAZING!! The staff are super friendly, the restaurant is super clean and decorated with throwback magazine covers and grade school lunch boxes. Give it a try, I don't think you'll be disappointed!
