I started out loving this restaurant and the owner too! Over time, I noticed inconsistent food quality and portion sizes, menu availability, drink sizes (margaritas:) and finally just lacked choices of Mexican cuisine. They use Tellara (sp) buns for Mexican food? Hubby says that maybe in Chicago they use buns as we were told by the owner she is from Chicago. No chili rellenos or or plates with choices of favorites. I ordered a side of refried beans for $4 and I think it was about 2 Tbsp worth- (I was a little ticked off at that). I feel she wants to be all things to all folks when really all we want (I think) is good, fresh, authentic Mexican dinners! No BUNS. :)

Great authentic Mexican food from a warm-hearted, friendly family. I love the tacos pastor. Everything is made fresh to order with the tasty ingredients. I always get excited when I see the truck parked and open for business!

We had Parrillada for 2. It very tasty. More than we could finish. The recipe is for central Mexico, which has slightly differentflavors then Americans expect, but very good. The owner said the food is 80% organic and locally sourced. We will be back again. Try the Parrillada!!!

A small place with a friendly vibe. Just a couple of tables. This restaurant has very good food. We had fish tacos and vegetarian tacos. All the food was prepared very well with good, fresh ingredients. Our food was delicious! One of the few Mexican restaurants, that I have visited, that charges for chips and salsa. The salsa we had had a great kick to it. A nice selection for vegetarians. I found the prices a bit high; but you get what you pay for. I really like this little place. So, if you find yourself in downtown Manitowoc, I recommend that you try this charming place out.UPDATE. I so want his little place to succeed. But yesterday my wife brought home burritos. Keep in mind that they are $10 a pop. My wife asked for beans, rice, cheese and onions in our burritos. When we got them home they were filled with only beans and tons of bell peppers. The beans were like eating teaspoons of salt. As I cannot tolerate nightshades and the food was too salty to consume, we had to put $20 in the trash. Hey, Paradise, listen to what people want; and lay off the salt!

This place is fantastic. Easily the best Mexican food we've had in the area and the service was friendly and attentive. We were visiting from Southern California, a region rich with great Mexican cuisine, and this was as good as any. Generous portions and authentic recipes. The homemade sour cream was a unique and tasty detail. A definite recommend and also good stop for visitors passing through heading north. A pleasant, casual atmosphere. Good for families.

How often do we hear of an organic Mexican restaurant? Well, 80% as in WI when you depend on the Farmers' Market as these owners do, the organic veggies are a little sparce off season. The aim is healthy eating. No lard! Only fresh WI butter. This is no Mex Tex restaurant! From the fish tacos I had to the beans and rice, they all had a distinctive flavor I had not tasted before. It was very good and while you may have to wait a bit as everything is made fresh, enjoy a margarita which I will next time. This family is earnestly committed to a healthy alternative to Mexican food and it is worth supporting their effort! Meg
