Recently started working in Rockford, and this was my first time eating at Paninos. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the signature Panino sandwich reminded me so much of the Avanti's gondola in Peoria. The bread is a little less sweet up here, but the sandwich is solid! I will definitely be back and I am picking sandwiches up for my family on my way home!

I have long loved Paninos since they'd were at Charles and 20th St. It's a staple! They've gone through ups and downs and I have been disappointed occasionally, bust satisfied regularly! Mainly due to cutting corners and putting shredded cheese on the panizas. BUT, if you ask for strips of cheese and not shredded, you too can have the OG that makes them great! For that OG wonderfulness, you get the 4 , eliminate the shredded cheese on the panizas and it's back to the top! Excited to bring my daughter here before her first daddy/daughter dance on Friday night.

Love the food. The staff is always fantastic. I now live in TN, but grew up eating Panino's. I don't go back home for a visit without stopping at Panino's. There's nothing better than a cheese Panino's and a couple loaves of bread to take back home with me.

Not to happy with Panino's on East State. They are really going down hill. The Panizzas hardly have any sauce on them anymore and they barely cook them, the cheese wasn't even fully cooked you could see the shredded pieces all over them and they weren't even done!!!! Also, They're not the friendliest group of people. Will probably never go back. Back in the 90's it was an Amazing place to go eat at but Not anymore just Sad Now....

Usually I'd rate Panino's a 8.6/5 (outstanding) but I was sad and disappointed to see that they're taking away the sheet cheese on the panizzas and doing shredded. The sheet cheese is what made my toes curl. Hopefully this will help bring it back :(

Prices went up (30%) while quantity of meat and toppings went down (30%) on an already bland sandwich.) Bread was still very good - which is important since that's basically all you get for $8.

Lights are on, but nobody's home???My boys and I decided to eat at Panino's on State St. after going to hockey practice and visiting my ailing dad. We got there on a Friday night at 7:35pm. Sign on the door said open until 8, and all the lights are on. The door was locked. Glanced in to see 1 teenage girl with a vacuum, who ignored us. Look, I understand if you're short staffed and have to close early in these crazy times. It happens. But if you're doing that, though, put a sign on the door. Turn your lights off. The big led "open" sign on multiple sides leaves us to believe you're open. I would have left this comment on Panino's website, but there's no place to even leave a comment. How do you run a business with no place to give feedback on your website? Isn't feedback critical in making decisions that make your business more successful? I guess I can only hope the owners read reviews about their place from places like this. As such, we ended up going to eat at Ali Baba's instead. At least this place was opened as advertised.
