Quaint and small, perfect for downtown Palatine. For a small farmers market, this one packs a punch! Fresh produce, baked goods, pet treats, knife sharpening, and various community groups (American Legion, Palatine Garden Club, Jaycees, etc.) have booths throughout the season. There is also live music. It's directly off the Palatine Metra station and within walking distance from coffee and breakfast options. It's worth a visit if you're in the area on a Saturday morning!

I enjoy walking through farmers markets but I'm spoiled from going to the farmers markets in the city. The Palatine Farmers market was nice for a morning stroll with our dog (very pet friendly) and had some vendors but wish there were more fruits & vegetables available. They have a number of options for eating (ie. grilled cheese, tamale / Mexican, pastries) but they are either sold out early or have long lines.Good:-pet friendly-free parking or you can get off the Palatine train station stop-live musicWould be nice to have:-more fruit / vegetable/farm vendor options-more vendors in general

This is a fabulous Farmers Market that covers all the bases of what you'd need or want to buy at one of these things. We come for Stampers Cheese which offers some of the most original cheese products we've seen but they have exceptional string cheese. The bread is good too and there's a cheese sandwich kitchen that makes unbelievable cheese sandwiches while you wait. The hours are from 7 to 11 and they're open until the last Saturday in October.

You have to have a mindset that the Palatine Farmers market is a small FM serving mainly Palatine/NW suburban peeps. I admit I was disappointed at the size the 1st time I came here; but, my previous experiences with a FM was during my college years at UW Madison where I frequented the Dane County FM which is the largest in the US.The Palatine FM has something for everyone! Artesian breads, cheeses (try the blue cheese/brie combo!), several local and nearby states produce vendors, coffee (not just the Starbucks nearby), dog treats, bakeries, spices, jarred pickled treats, grass fed meats, eggs, flowers, popcorn, knife sharpening guy/girl, nut free granola, mini donuts (my kids always love this stand!), arts/crafts and even a musician. The FM is located by the Palatine Metra station; there is always plenty of parking nearby. Since it's a smaller FM, it doesn't take long to go through everything, so it's nice to spend that extra time exploring downtown Palatine. Lots of great places to eat and check out the small shops. It's always great to support local!!

Very quaint and nice little farmers market! Not as big as the Schaumburg one but not a problem. You can still find so many good things here. Seems to be a bit less pricey than the Schaumburg farmers market so that's good. Glad to support local farmers and ethically-raised meat :)

If you're already in the area, the Palatine Farmers Market is a decent place to spend 5-7 minutes perusing the stands, but it's not something I'd say you should drive out of your way for. It deserves mention that this market has come a long way since my first few visits in 2012 where they had maybe 5 vendors and one of them were girl scouts that weren't selling girl scout cookies. Kinda weird. Nowadays they have more vendors and variety - they even had a guy singing and playing guitar here last weekend that really made it seem like more of an event. The presentation at most of tables isn't much to write home about. In fact, a lot of the tents just look like they're storing an extra folding table - not really having any goods or services to sell, but there are a quite a few that spice up Saturday mornings in downtown Palatine. I really like the bread vendors and the spice vendors and I'm always tempted to purchase plants and herbs to grow even though I know the reality of it would be me just buying them to watch them die. There's one vendor that sells a variety of meats that's usually pretty hoppin' and I think the knife sharpening/survival bracelet making guy is pretty popular as well. Again, not really worth going out of your way for, but there's enough stuff happening in downtown Palatine on any given Saturday morning into afternoon that you could make a half day out of coming here.

Overall this market is very diverse in what it offers; from artisanal cheese to fresh veggies and tamales. It's a small farmers market nearby the Palatine train station that you can get some of your shopping done while supporting local farmers and businesses. Our favorite is Arlington Crest Farms, we joined their CSA two years ago and love it! Check it out!

The market has it all, or almost all anyway! There is live music, plenty of parking. There is quite a few farmers that come from Indiana, Michigan, and Wisconsin. There are booths with Pastas, Pickles, Teas, Eggs and Bacon, Dog Treats, Ceramics, Breads, and freshly made mini donuts!! The Market is Dog friendly and some shoppers even bring cats! If you like shopping and helping your community this is the place to visit!

Great selection and vendors. Full market closed for winter and we miss it already! The vegetable selection is both fresh and varies by season.
