We stopped in to buy some Ole Salty's potato chips. We bought three bags. Unfortunately, after we went there, we went to Woodmans grocery store. The price at Woodmans was two dollars plus less than it was at the Loves Park home location. That really stinks.

It's so funny that Rockford has not one, but TWO potato chip companies in town. What are the odds? Everyone has their preference (You should see the debates at my house. We're passionate about our potatoes!), but all in all it boils down to one thing: Rockford makes GREAT chips, especially Ole Salty's. There are eight varieties to choose from, my favorite being the regular salted chips. There's jalapeño for those who like spice, BBQ for those who want sweet, and even lightly salted and no salt for those watching their sodium levels. (Sidenote: Don't even think about bringing a no-salt bag to my house. You will be forever shamed.) They're crispy, not terribly greasy, and perfect for dipping. Good news: Ole Salty's sells dips as well as popcorn and nuts, all of which you can buy online or pop in to their store. I've also spotted certain varieties at some of the local stores, like Schnuck's and Woodman's. Bottom line: Grab a bag and happy snacking!
