Oishi Sushi & Bar, super cute spot. We were craving sushi and stumbled upon Oishi Sushi & Bar and what a delightful find it was!We were greeted by the friendliest staff.The sushi was incredibly fresh, I barely had to use any soy sauce, and the garlic ramen? Absolutely delicious! I had to get it when I saw it on the menu and I have no regrets.I've heard that the owners might be the same as those behind Edo Sushi? If anyone knows for sure, feel free to correct me.Either way, we can't wait to return for more sushi goodness!If you're in the mood for some amazing sushi, do yourself a favor and check this place out!

This place was bustling for dinner. Service was a little chaotic. We were seated at a table and then maybe 2 minutes later they asked if we wanted to sit at the booth behind us when the group before us had just left. It was very nice of them to do so.The server had informed us that it would be about 10-15 min to order because they were so behind. I appreciate the thorough communication. We didn't wait that long before ordering and getting served our food.I liked the variety of rolls they had to choose from. My boyfriend thought it was meh. We ordered the black and pink roll, miso on fire and black dragon. We've always enjoyed eel so the black dragon was our favorite. I liked that the miso on fire came with fried onions - I wish there could've been more miso sauce on the roll.

I recently dined at a Oishi Sushi and Bar a Japanese restaurant in Madison, WI, a city known for its transient population. Despite people coming and going, forging connections is vital, as it can lead to lasting friendships.For appetizers, I enjoyed Miso Soup, a House Salad, and delicious Gyoza dumplings. My main course was the Dynamite Roll, filled with avocado, salmon, tuna, yellowtail, and a surprising touch of red snapper, all wrapped in soy paper and deep-fried to perfection. To drink, I chose a refreshing Lychee Japanese Soda.The attentive staff made the experience even better, and sharing this meal with friends over great conversation made it truly memorable. In a city where many come and go, these moments of connection and culinary delight make it feel like home!

The presentation was great but the fish was not high quality. The Toro was super overpriced and definitely had something wrong with it. Both my dad and I are feeling slight sick after eating it. I would also not recommend going if you have any food restrictions. I told the server I had Celiac and could not eat gluten and they still brought things out with gluten containing sauces.

Ordered six sushi rolls for takeout on a Saturday afternoon - beautiful presentation with delicious rolls! We tried the Golden Dragon, Oishi roll, Pink and Black roll, Dynamite, Crazy Dragon, and Paradise roll. Favorite was Paradise, but they were all really good. Plenty of wasabi and ginger on the side. We also had the Bullet appetizer which was yummy, although I wished the jalapeno was a little more cooked... It was pretty crunchy. Definitely recommend, will be coming back to try the rest of the menu!

Stopped in for a delicious sushi lunch. There is plenty of parking on the street in front of the place. The restaurant is decent sized with booth, table and sushi bar seating available. The sushi itself was terrific; delicious, fresh, and pretty reasonably priced. The service was prompt and attentive. The restaurant was remarkably clean... no dust on the sills or shades, the bathroom was spotless... Things that make a customer comfortable that the workers and management really care about cleanliness.
