Well, Odd Duck does it again. This was my first visit to their new location (I know, I'm late), but I was delighted to check it out and both my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience! Our server, Andrew, was fantastic. Just an overall friendly guy, very attentive, lots of great recs. I needed a refresher on the menu and best way to order, since Odd Duck is primarily small/shareable plates, and he walked us through how many plates are recommended for two people, and some of his favorites. As soon as our wine arrived to the table (sauv blanc for me and flavorful cab for my husband), we decided to put in some items from the cheese and charcuterie menu. Wow, loveddd the gouda and the serrano ham. They came plated with a few other bites like grapes, bread, and marcona almonds (YUM). We went on to share the wood fired brussels sprouts, the duck dish that definitely had some spice (in a great way), and the chorizo chicken. They were all fantastic. And I hate to say it, but their menu is always rotating so you may or may not be able to get your hands on these ones in particular. The good news? Everything on their ever-changing menu sounds delicious and there is a reason their chefs been nominated for James Beard Award.Lovely atmosphere, kind and attentive staff, unbeatable food. Come here if you haven't already.

The food was great and well cooked, I will come back. The only negative was I wish they had more bathrooms. So getting down to the nitty gritty lol Everything I ordered was good. I wish the Trout fish came with sides, and I wish the duck had more sauce. The service was great the waiter was great and attentive but not crowding. The resturant self was filled with all different types of ducks, so cute.

I fully understand their James Beard nominations. Inventive dishes executed to perfection! The drinks, food, atmosphere, and timing were all excellent. We loved the small plates and enjoyed each coming at different times. The servers were wonderful with explaining each dish as it came out. Each dish was very delicious but our favorites were the beet salad, the Brussels sprouts, the short rib, and the Bavette steak. I secretly don't want to write this review because the more popular they get the less likely we'll be able to get a reservation but this is too good of a place to not talk about! New favorite in MKE!

What a fun restaurant! Love the atmosphere with all the "odd ducks" for decor. Our waiter was very attentive and fun to have as a server. We loved the shared plates concept as we got to try several different food items. I think the perogis were my favorite and my husband's was the duck!

I returned to Odd Duck last night and found a seat at the bar. Olivia took care of us, and her service was excellent. Our food came out quickly. I ordered the scrumptious chicken liver mousse, which I spread on Odd Duck's delicious bread. The pork pâté was just okay, but Paris is our second home, and I can't help comparing. My grilled octopus entrée had a common problem experienced in Milwaukee restaurants. Too much stuff was on top of the seafood, drowning out the octopus flavor. When I shoved everything aside and found the octopus, it was delicious. I ate the other crap when I was done with the tiny pieces of octopus, and all of it was tasty on its own, but that poor octopus was buried alive. Fried Chicken was also buried under a pile of stuff, but because the pieces of poultry were large, you could taste the chicken amongst the mound of food. Thus, it fared better. It was a flavorful dish.Odd Duck's gestalt is wonderful, and thus, the five stars. It's important to analyze each offer before ordering food because the dishes vary. However, most folks at Odd Duck want a good time, and the food is just fine for them. We love dining and have eaten well in places far and wide. That's not typical for Milwaukee. Odd Duck remains one of Milwaukee's best. By the way, I much rather eat at the bar. I find the dining room somber, with a muddy color on the walls. Odd Duck's soul is anything but somber.

Look. It takes a lot for me to give 5 stars. But honey, this 5 star rating was a no-brainer. It's my birthday. I'm an introvert. I wanted to dine at a bar or counter in the company of excellent restaurant staff. Odd Duck was the perfect pick and the perfect vibe. The food was phenomenal. In season. Fresh. Vibrant. Herbaceous. Spicy in just the right ways. Savory. OMG. Sometimes I yummed out loud. True story. I took my time dining at the bar. Chatting up the staff and a few other patrons. They were friendly and took wonderful care of me. I even got a birthday card! The entire visit was so relaxing. You absolutely must get a meal or two here! You will not be disappointed. If you're as lucky as I was maybe Joe & Olivia will take care of you too! 5 stars all day.

Came in on Thursday night with a group of 5. While the service was good, we agreed that the food left us underwhelmed for the price - portion sizes were small and nothing really blew us out of the water. The cocktails were delish and the ambiance was nice, but would say that the fact that each plate came out as it was ready took away from the meal a bit (would have preferred it all at once) as the order of dishes was a bit odd (fish, then veg, then meat, then more veg??). Anyways - glad I tried it, not rushing back.

Had reservations for husband's birthday. We showed up a bit early for our reservations, and our table wasn't ready, so we just sat. We noticed a chilled, cozy vibe as we were waiting. Very dim and romantic. There's ducks every where, which I found adorable. We soon got called to our table there was a birthday card on the table for my husband, super cute. Our server soon came and she was amazing. So chilled and accommodating. We were explained 4 plates is the recommended start and build from there. We had the oysters, roasted lamb, short rib, butter chicken and duck confit. Our favorite was the butter chicken, it was soooo good. Wish we had a bigger portion of it. Plates are on the small side if you are sharing, I think maybe 6-7 plates would be enough, otherwise you're gonna leave hungry lol. Anyway, We were also given a NA toast for his birthday, it was a nice touch. Overall we had an amazing dinner, the only "bad" thing we found was that the tables are so close together that when the servers come they bump into people all the time. Not a deal breaker, but a suggestion, separate them to where there's enough room for the server to get in between without bumping the patron.

Food was great but the service was really slow. We sat down and didn't have a server for 20-30 mins. The food is overpriced for the amount you get.
