Oconomowoc Lake Club

I attended an organized networking event on an evening at Oconomowoc Lake Club. I thought that the venue was the perfect layout for a large event. There was enough room for everyone to move around, sit and of course grab a place at the bar. The view of the lake is absolutely spectacular. I would imagine a wedding here would be fabulous!The catered food had a wonderful variety for all types of dietary restrictions and there was plenty of it! The waitstaff was kind and helpful. There was always someone within arms length to pick up plates, bring silverware, answer questions etc. My only complaint is how rude the parking attendants were. I understand that there's valet, but if I want to park my own car, I believe I have that right. Overall - Great place!

If you're in the Lake Country area and looking for a wedding, I highly recommend Oconomowoc Lake Club. My sister got married here in Oct/2012 and the place was perfect. Great views on the shores of the lake. Wedding took place upstairs, dinner downstairs and dancing/reception upstairs. While this sounds complicated, it worked great! The wedding setup was very nice and immediately after the ceremony, the bar opened as well as the deck overlooking the lake. All on the upstairs. This provided time for the dinner service to get setup below. Once downstairs, the meal service was very organized and the food was great! While dinner service went along, the DJ wand reception setup occurred above. No distraction at any time during the evening by the vendors. Not sure the capacity, but I would assume 100-150 would be a comfortable wedding here.

Totes miss Kathy and Jared :) They were a lot of fun, always welcoming and made time for me. Wonderful, and kind hearted people who actually know and understand hospitality. 1st class location here, and the staff to back it up. One of the best places in Wisconsin to hold any special event at any time during the year. Thanks for everything you two!

You cannot beat the location and atmosphere...everyone attentive and interested in fulfilling any and all requests. Great food and fantastic drinks...ahh, lake country at its finest!!!

Sad! In the past I have attended wedding receptions at the Club and it has been wonderful and the food delicious, but not this time. At our last class reunion it was buffet style and it was awesome, this time not so. We had a choice of salmon, chicken or vegetarian. They replaced salmon with trout which was dry. I had the chicken and it was not cooked through. There was no vegetable served with it and the mashed potatoes was the size of a half dollar. When they brought the rolls out, there was not enough for our table and they didn't bring any more and we had to set them on our salads as they didn't bring any plates for them. We waited forever for our dessert and it was one cupcake for each person. I asked when they were bringing out coffee for us and was told it was set up at the table and the end of the room. They only had decaf coffee at that time! I think they need a new manager for the dinner events. Very dissapointed, along with many others!
