O'Sullivans Public House

My friends brought me here to try a quintessential old school WI restaurant. The table where they usually sit was taken, so we had to sit at a different table. The waitress knew their drink order. Service was friendly and efficient. The bread was warm and good. I had the Shepherd's pie. It was flavored ok and hearty, which was perfect for a cooler night. My friends had sandwiches and the soup of the day. I'd come back if people were going there.

I tried O'Sullivans for lunch recently when my car was in the shop next door. It was just after the normal lunchtime and the dining room was pretty empty, but the bar was full. The bartender greeted me warmly, as did the server. Options were very limited if you're not a meat eater. I ended up with a tuna sandwich with a side of potatoes. It was fine, nothing special.It seems like most of the people there were regulars and knew each other.

Out of town visitor but grew up in the area. My sister brought me to O'Sullivans for lunch, we sat at the bar and settled in, great atmosphere and vibe, everything I would expect of a real Milwaukee bar. We started with a couple of local beers and chatted like all the other patrons, great service by the bartender, very effective, experienced and efficient. Really can't say enough good things, this is exactly the sort of place I hoped for. I ordered the roast beef sandwich and my Sis had the special taco plate, fun and tasty lunch fare, came out quickly and we cleaned our plates. Very reasonable prices, fun and friendly neighborhood establishment with wonderful and authentic service. Will certainly come back next time I'm in town.

Since O'Sullivan's opened (several years ago), we have visited and had drinks and meals on at least six or seven occasions. Each time, we were happy with both the cocktail service and the food. I am particularly fond of the Irish Stew, here. It is truly a homemade delicacy that should be tried by all stew aficionados when eating here. Having said that, on my last visit, I had the grilled chicken salad that was excellent as well.The bar area has plenty of TV's to watch games and "two-top" tables in the space around the bar. Service both in the bar area and dining room area is efficient and fast. There is a large parking lot in front of the restaurant and additional parking in a large business lot just west of the location.We would probably frequent O'Sullivan's on a regular basis if it was a bit closer to our residence but for now, when driving back into the city from the Brookfield area with the desire to have a quick cocktail and a good Irish meal, O'Sullivan's is on top of our list.

Bartender was so rude. Picked up a doordash order here and she tossed the check towards me and called me a dick.

I went here for a week day lunch. It's definitely popular with the retired crowd. My other half ordered the pulled pork and I got the chicken tenders appetizer as my entree. About 10-15 minutes after ordering, the server let us know they didn't have pulled pork. I thought it was odd that it took so long to realize that but ok. Things happen right? The tenders had a slight sweet taste to them which I believed the menu mentioned as well. I wouldn't want to eat them again. Service was very slow. I don't envision going back here.

I had been dreaming of a fish fry for awhile and my sister suggested this place. Last time I was there was as a child so I had no idea if the food would be good. Based on reviews here, I have to admit I expected nothing special. But we gave it a shot anyway and I can honestly say I wouldn't go there again.We arrived around 5pm so we were basically surrounded by the older crowd (hey that's what you get when you eat at that time, nothing wrong with it!) but we got a table right away. To the point, I've had a WORSE fish fry yes, but this wasn't at all exciting. The 2 piece dinner was around $10 and came with pieces so tiny that my sister and I traded between the plates to make sure we had an even amount of fish. I had the mashed potatoes sans gravy which were okay but I can't say for sure that they were homemade as the server said. Everything was just "okay" but not worth having again in my opinion.Our server was very nice and attentive and the place was "unusually" packed as another person said. I have no idea why. It seems more like a supper club type of menu which is fine for some but not my thing.

Service was good the Shepherds pie was disgusting and the Reuben sandwich was over buttered to compensate for the low grade deli sliced corn beef should've went to Mc Donald's across the street which had more value for your money

The food is always cooked to order. The service is very good and the people are very pleasant to deal with. The ambience is a classic pub and fun to be in.
