Ah, NZ's. You let me down! I came in for my annual cheese curd fix over the holidays. Your curds were clumped! No one stirred them in the fryer. Thus, parts of the giant mono curd were raw inside. Raw batter! I'm feeling so sad now. On top of that, my mom and I tried to split a salad, but I'm a vegetarian and she's not so we wanted the chicken on the side. We were told the chicken in pre-mixed in and can't be left out. In a salad? Why? So you aren't doing things fresh?I'll try you again, but I'm disappointed. I get one curd stop per visit home and I chose you since you don't disappoint. And you failed me.

Enjoyed nachos wings and cheese curds. Oh my. It was excellent. 3 of us couldn't finish it all. Delicious!!!

I've only been to NZ's a couple times, but I am definitely a fan!The first time we ate here we had the fried shrimp appetizer (huge, delicious shrimp), a good caesar salad with chicken, the beer-broth mussels (we keep talking about how I have to take my mom there for these alone), and my husband had the fried perch. Everything was fantastic! One of our fave waiters who used to work at 8th st works here now, and gave us the chef's backstory, which truly explained why a bar would have such excellent food.I can't wait to go back and try one of their grilled fish specials, or their weinerschniztel, and a number of other things!For a couple drinks each, and all the food we got, it was an exceptional value as well. I wish we'd discovered this place years ago! But, better late than never :)

Food and service are outstanding! My wife had the NZ burger, and I had the sausage plate with homemade German potato salad. We will definitely return soon.

THE BEST burger anywhere. Mushroom Swiss burger is a winner.Guinness battered shrimp are delicious.Friday fish specials are definitely NOT average bar food fare. Pork schnitzel sandwich is very tasty.Chicken cordon blue sandwich also tasty.

Walked in on a fri and and the bartenders and servers were more concerned with drinking shots together than serving our party of 5. We stood around looking for and asking for service and then after being ignored for almost 20 minutes we took our business elsewhere.

after waiting for my lunch for 40-minutes and watching people who came in long after me be served, I inquired about my food. I was given a burger that was salted past being edible. I guess they taught me. I will never return.

This my go-to place for great food at reasonable prices. This is not typical bar food. I call it gourmet bar food. Plus they have a nice selection of beers and wines to accompany your meal. Love this place.

Good service, great music, and comfortable place to eat. I asked for a fruity and hydrating drink. Was Tea & Red Bull, lemonade with a special shot twist on the side. We ended up getting two! The new manager Alex was great. The Nachos were delicious and the mushroom burger marvelous.
