Good times. Great atmosphere and views. We enjoyed the outside cabana bar and fire pit as it cooled off while we were waiting for a table. The table had fish prepared two different ways and ribs. The ribs wereok, not award winning. The fish about the same. The location carries the day here, but you probably won't be disappointed in the food.

Always enjoy going here and enjoy the views. Cocktails and food are good but our recent visit had a disappointing appetizer (Calamari). I expected better for $13.95. Honestly we didn't even eat any before snapping this pic. We will still come back and chalk it up to a bad day for the cook.

I had never been here before and came in to the hostess and asked for outdoor seating. She scoffed and said, no we don't have the staff for that. :/ So I sat at the bar instead. I will say the views are spectacular, even from the inside. They are positioned for nearly 180 degree views. Moving into the drinks: The crispy cosmo martini had light flavors, not as crisp and a little too sweet and no garnish like advertised. The bartender did shake the martini and poured it in front of me. The apple cider old fashioned was too sweet (like apple juice) for my tastes but I was intrigued, so I had to try it. The bartender had impressive skills, with "Coyote Ugly" type moves, seamlessly taking care of his guests. I was super impressed to see him thin peel an entire lemon from top to bottom without spill it if it. I thought only my grandma had these skills! Later on the hostess asked the bartender to take. To-Go order because she was 'busy'. He took the request after swiftly finishing up another drink then proceeded to be attentive with the guest. Meanwhile I watched her just stand back at the hostess stand the ENTIRE time, not doing a thing.

We sat in the lounge area because we were told it's a little cheaper than sitting in the actual restaurant. We were there for an early dinner. The food was very good and came out hot. Their rolls are awesome! The waitress was friendly. The view of the lake is fantastic! However, they do have an $8 splitting fee and their prices are a little high for the food. I opted for an appetizer for dinner so that helped the overall bill. I wouldn't let the prices deter you from trying this place.

This place used to have such wonderful service but now they changed hands and flipped house and I think they must've really canned a lot of people because now every server I get is a real doozy. I used to feel warmly welcomed. Now it's like a whole new vibe. I think this is successful because it has a great location but it sounds like many locals are ditching it. Sad..it used to be such a great tradition

The food, service and view were superb! Ambience? Not so much. Despite making the reservation 8 weeks in advance, we were relegated to dine on a porch that had all the charm of a school gym. Our bartender and server were superb, the food surpassed expectation so we would probably go back. But for sure, we would insist on being seated inside. Unless, they just don't like our kind there?

Amazing ambiance, nicely decorated, spacious seating, the view of the lake with the outside seating having the fire on shimmering of the lake. Service was outstanding, friendly and courteous. The overpriced food on the other hand had me second guessing my choice of supper clubs. The Friday night special cod was dry and tasteless the perch wasn't much better. The only plate at the table of six that had any flavor was the bar-b-qued salmon. At an average of 32 a plate i was not enthused.

I have been enjoying Nortons for 40 years, however, our last experience there on Saturday night was a huge disappointment. Our service was excellent, and the ambiance is always wonderful, but the food was lazy and atrocious. I am not sure if there is a new chef, I know there has been changes in ownership recently, but something needs to change for me to return. The brussel sprout appetizer, and the french onion soup were not great, but were good. However, the main courses my wife and I had were not. My wife order the pork chop and a baked sweet potato. The pork chop is a Nueske pork chop with a bourbon berry glaze reduction. Anyone who knows Nueskes knows they have a good product, in fact, I order them at home every year. However, at a fine dining restaurant for over $30 a plate, this is pure laziness on the chefs part. It was a heated up, packaged pork chop with a flavorless berry topping, that seemed like it had also come out of a jar, alongside a basic overcooked baked sweet potato. Any 16 year old could have plated this. My order was truly disappointing. I ordered one of their house specialties, the Walleye Almondine. I have ordered this many times, and never been disappointed before. It usually comes with a golden brown coloring, covered in golden brown almonds, steeped in a mouthwatering buttery almond flavor. The plate they set in front of me on Saturday was shocking. The fish was pure white with a sprinkle of paprika and about a dozen almond slivers, over a bed of wild rice and a handful of green bean. I should have sent it back immediately, but decided to give it a try. Utter disappointment. The fish was flavorless and cold, as if it had been sitting for a while. I mixed it with a bite of the rice, and again was disappointed by a cold and flavorless bite of rice, followed by a bite of cold basic green beans. I am not one to send my food back, so I powered through, and I finally got a flavor in my mouth. Unfortunately, it was a fishy taste that you only get when the fish is no good. I know this, as I am an avid fisherman who cleans and cooks his own fish. Big thumbs down, the chef needs some instruction or you will forever lose my business to Chops in Green Lake, maybe everyone's

Has a great Friday fish fry. Not one of those over indulgent huge, eat until you are grossly over full kind. The portions are just right. Everything is delicious. Highly recommend the potato pancakes. The drinks were excellent as well. Excellent find.

On a positive note Norton's has really nice views and it's a cool space., however.. after waiting an hour and fifteen minutes for a table we thought at least the food would be good. We were mistaken. We both ordered seafood (grilled shrimp for me and almondene walleye for my partner). Both were mediocre and somewhat flavorless. Really could've used some seasoning or fresh herbs. The best thing we had was the bread that came with our entree's as well as the onion soup. Service was good and attentive.
