If I'm craving a chocolate or almond croissant, this is where I go!! Got there around 8am on a Thursday with still plenty in the case. They also have fruit tarts and other puff pastry treats! Delicious options to choose from if they sell out or croissants. On this particular visit, I got 8 croissants so I got asked if it was for my coworkers. LOL it was just for me and my bf. I was too embarrassed to say that I love the treats here so much I could eat so many without getting tired of it. Thanks for the small talk and the yummy croissants!

If you're looking for a great LGBTQ+-owned business to support this month (and beyond!), give North Shore Boulangerie a try! We recently visited for our first time and had a lovely lunch. The shop itself is a good size. Very light and airy inside. More-so bakery/casual seating in the area you first enter, and then more formal seating further back where you'll have a server. Bonus: patio seating when the weather is nice.Right away I ordered a latte and really enjoyed it. Good coffee, nice and frothy, well made. They've got plenty of options on their food menu, from soups and salads, to sammies and baked goods. I was a fan of the quiche. It had bacon and gruyere cheese served in their homemade buttery French crust. I mean what's not to love? My husband went with a sandwich of sorts that has thick cut bacon and came on a toasted sourdough. We also got our son a turkey sammie on a fresh croissant. Though everything was pretty tasty, I felt like the prices were a tad steep. Oh and we of course couldn't help ourselves but grab a variety of macaroons on the way out. Those were a WIN.

When I first stumbled upon the North Shore Boulangerie, I loved the Parisian theme and longed to be back in France. I bought two of their pan au chocolat (aka chocolate croissants). "It's just like Paris," said the guy behind the counter. Having recently returned from France, I thought, "Yeah sure." When my boyfriend and I tried them, we were both pleasantly surprised. The flavors were balanced between the buttery pastry and the chocolate filling. We have also dined in for lunch. Our server was very sweet and friendly. She had a lot of recommendations and was enthusiastic about the food. It really made me more excited to try it. I ordered from the specials menu - French Toast made with cinnamon brioche bread, topped with sautéed bananas, candied pecans, and butter. On the side was a raspberry and cherry compote. Three slices of thick cut high quality bacon and I was officially in love!North Shore Boulangerie is a pleasant place to enjoy some coffee, pastries, or lunch. We will definitely be back!

Such a cute little place for lunch! I loved the European cafe feel of this restaurant. It seemed a little pricey, but my food was excellent and ready quickly. The soup of the day was a major highlight--I definitely recommend checking out the specials when you stop in. I ordered a specialty coffee drink and was very pleased with it. Bakery case also looked divine but will have to wait for my next visit :)

I have been a frequent customer at Northshore Boulangerie and I enjoy many of their dishes. A couple of my favorite items are the Baked French Onion Soup and their special, Autumn Salad. With that said, I am currently on a restrictive diet and while I know dining out isn't always the easiest, I knew I could get the harvest salad and it would fit my diet. I cannot have the dressing that comes with the salad, so I requested olive oil and vinegar. To my surprise, they do not have olive oil and offered me canola oil instead. I was shocked because this is a finer cafe and I wasn't expecting to be offered canola oil for my salad. It was disappointing.

Lovely Parisian themed cafe. Tasty pastries and coffee. I will have to go back to try their lunch options. Perfect spot of a relaxed weekend morning coffee.

Spacious yet quaint French bistro in the heart of Shorewood. I picked this place as an easy location to meet up with former classmates at Cardinal Stritch University. Our party of 5 was immediately seated and they respected that we were waiting for everyone in the group to arrive. Attentive service without an sense or urgency to push us out the door, which was much appreciated since we had not seen each other in 2 years. Plenty of menu choices and reasonably priced for the quality and quantity of food. I will definitely consider eating here again when I find myself in this area.

**I've only had pastries here, and not the food, so that's all I'm reflecting. I've been here many times before (pre-covid), and the decor is so pretty. It's great for some coffee with your girlfriends, or for a date with your lover, though some guys may find it too French? but I haven't been here since covid and I'm not sure why I never wrote a review for the place. Their pastries are truly delicious. About 2 weeks ago, a friend made us a care package with about every pastry they had, and I really liked the plain beignets. Beignets:The raspberry filled I didn't like, but that's a personal preference - I just don't like fruit jelly in my pastries. any kind. The hazelnut was good, but the plain tasted better. Somehow, the wasn't the same thing with just a hazelnut filling added, but more like two different kinds of pastries altogether. This is also true of their croissants. Croissants:The plain one is flakier and butteri-er. Even shaped differently. chocolate croissant is shaped more like a rectangular donut. I can't remember what the almond croissant looked like? Bad memory. But one thing I know is that I'm never a big fan of croissants that are rectangular. I like the looking like crescent moons. Macarons:we got a bunch of different flavors and I liked some more than others, but I can't remember what they all were. You must have these when they are fresh. Do not let them sit for a day. Even a day later they just don't have the same chewyness level. If you're going to do that, get the frozen ones at Trader Joe's. Otherwise, enjoy these right on the spot! Bombe du nord:Looks beautiful, a chocolate dome with gold flakes. Kinda like a chocolate mousse, very, very rich, but oh so satisfying. I can only eat a quarter piece at a time, it's that rich. Then there was this long rectangular pastry/dessert that I don't know the name of. It had some gummies fruit layers, some cake laters, some cream layers.? I don't know what it was, but it was so good. I didn't see it the next time we visited. And I don't know why I didn't take pictures of this. It was so goooooood.....So Saturday morning, we picked up 2 plain beignets and and 2 macarons. Macarons:chocolate - it was very full of chocolate flavor. like, infused. But I didn't like it too much. I could just eat chocolate mousse or something. Oh, I don't know when these were made, but the chocolate one was definitely made before the strawberry one, maybe even a day ahead. Not as soft and chewy, but rather harder and crumbly. strawberry - ok, so I say strawberry, but it may have been another flavor. I can't tell what it was. all I remember is that this one was a piece of the moon. So good. There was just enough hint of fruitiness, chewy amazingness, and even some cream filling surrounding it that just brought everything together. I was sad I only got one.

Was disappointed because their website said they had beignets so drove out of our way to try and were told they don't make them anymore. Which is fine, their choice but then they should not advertise them. Since we were already there had a chocolate croissant which was good which is why I'm still rating 3 stars.

They don't like answering their phone and dont have a great online ordering system. Frustrating experience- have shown up with out of stock items, wasted trips.
