This review is based one visit. This restaurant used to be Mother's Day restaurant which I never considered to be that good but I saw that they've change the name outfront and decided to give it a chance. I was very pleased with my meal this time. The food came quickly the server did a great job in my food was hot and done well. I ordered a Reuben sandwich. There was a good amount of meat and it was very tender. They didn't have any thousand Island dressing on the sandwich at least for when I could tell but since I wanted a lower calorie meal that was OK with me.I was just happy to see that Mother's Day is gone so that now when I go through that way I have a place I can stop at.

Up early for a meeting in Mayville. We had to rush out of the house without breakfast. My wife knows I get a little hangry when it's been to long since I ve eaten last. After our meeting as I started our trip home on Hwy 67 south she googled restaurants on our route home. So as we approached Hwy 33 she asked me to turn right head West 4 miles. So I did! SURPRISE! A diamond in the rough! Just as you enter downtown Horicon on the left is Nora's a family style restaurant with all the charm of small town USA. Good old fashion hospitality, service, cleanliness, value and most of all a large selection of tastefully prepared meals. I had no idea what my wife had planned when she asked me to take a right turn but I sure am glad she did. We for sure will be stopping back. Sorry I didn't take any pictures to post with my review. The thought that entered my mind as I finished my chicken fried steak two eggs hash browns with briskets and gravy breakfast was, "Why in the world, would anyone go to a fast food restaurant for a high priced sandwich that doesn't fill you up when you could enjoy a relaxing atmosphere, delicious homemade food that fills you up plus you get to go home with all your leftovers in a to go bag for later and most importantly money still left in your wallet. We Highly Recommend this fabulous restaurant! See you again soon

I was pleased to find parking at 11 am on a Sunday. I walked in and was pleasantly greeted by a hostess who told me I could sit anywhere but then immediately stopped by a rude woman who asked me how many and directed me to a corner booth. My waitress was equally rude who poured me coffee without asking if I needed creamer which was not on the table and left for 5 minutes. When she returned for my order her rudeness continued, she took my order, came back, slid the bowl of creamer on the table as if it was an inconvenience and left. My food arrived quickly. It was greasy and cheaply made. Sausage links are clearly those frozen type... $1.00 in the store ready in 1 minute in the microwave... gross. English muffin burnt and eggs greasy. Waitress never came back to table.

Nora's Restaurant (formerly Mother's Day Family Restaurant) is a nice, open, clean restaurant with quality well priced food. My companion and I both had the broiled cod. It was well prepared with ample portions and sides. The rice pudding for dessert was included in the dinner and was excellent, topped with cinnamon and whipped cream. We could not pass up the array of pies for sale. We chose a piece each of the coconut cream and cookies and cream. The pies were unbelievably good. Service was superb. A young efficient, knowledgable, and customer focused young waitress from Juneau, WI provided a superior customer service experience. A real gem that has reopened under a new name and management, has brought with it a great dining experience for Horicon and the surrounding area.

Atmosphere: Windowsills are dusty, no napkins at tables or booths, but otherwise rather nice looking. Definitely an upgrade from Mother's Day.Service: Quick for a diner, would be better if one of the waitresses wasn't in Street clothes and sitting with her mother.Food: Average food for a diner.

The food is great. Food alone i would give this place a 5 star. But i had to drop 2 because of the Lack of parking and it can be hard to get a truck in and out. Probably didn't help that I was a tad hung over. But the waitress and one of the customers were talking unnessecarily loud. Service was fast, but the waitress needs to slow down a bit. Before we could get the words "can we have some ranch" out. She had set our plate down and walked across the restaurant. If you have a smaller car and are a bit hard of hearing, this could be a 5 star for you. But personally, just wasn't for me.

Since July, we have anticipated a reopening of Nora's. After two months, it looks like it is not going to happen. Rumor has it that Nora's will not be back. This leaves only Kwik Trip and Subway for a hot breakfast in Horicon.

My wife and I enjoyed driving 25 miles to dine at nora's because the foodwas very good and everything was clean. We went there Sunday for 6 months. Then the last time we went there I was treated poorly by the waitress but not my wife. She said to my wife don't listen to him aboutthe menu and she didn't bring me coffee and water as I asked for but gave it to my wife. I don't know why she did this but I think it mightbe because I was wearing a TRUMP hat. Will not go back.

We were looking for a place to eat after a day of birdwatching. Service was prompt and courteous. They have senior meals. Portions are large. Soup was a little salty. Turkey dinner was tender. Smothered chicken was tasty. Banana pudding for dessert was flavorful. Rice pudding was average. I would recommend this place to others
