New China 8 Buffet

I called to confirm we could order from the menu. They said yes when they should have said no. Extraordinarily slow even though there were very few people there. Floor was covered in food bits. We were irritated by a fruit fly. Flies in December tells you something. Our food was not from the buffet and it was okay. We will not be back.

Good selection with lots of variety. Good for kids too!More than just Chinese on buffet, also has pizza, garlic bread, salads, pudding.

It's an okay place. If you go at a time that's not a rush, it's clear that the food has been sitting under the heat lamps for a long time. Food has a tendency to be on the lukewarm or cold side. I appreciate that the servers sort of leave you to your own devices instead of hovering around. It's reasonably priced, and it's clean. It's not a destination, but if it's what's nearby, it'll do.

Cockroaches were crawling around on the ice cream freezer in plain sight on the dining room floor just 10 feet from where we were eating.We have always put up with the less than clean environment at New China 8. Stacked plates weren't always as clean as they should have been, and there always seems to be a bit of grime covering everything. We've been going there on and off for as long as they've been open. I was always willing to look the other way since they had the best tasting dishes that were being refilled on a regular basis, but I draw the line at cockroaches.If there are cockroaches in plain sight in the dining room, one can only imagine the nightmare scenario that exists in the kitchen. Never in my life have I seen a cockroach at a restaurant while dining. I will never be going back.

For the price, $6 per adult, it's well worth it for fast food and all you can eat. I've come here twice and each time, the price for children varied from $1-$5, so idk what's up with that, one child was 2 yrs, another was 4 yrs. This time, the 2 yr old was $1, and he didn't eat, and the 4 yr old was $5. Last time, the 2 yr old was $3, and he didn't eat at all. My sister loves the crispy honey chicken, for me it was ok. The calamari was voted the best at my table. They were big, although a bit salty. Like all Chinese buffets, when in doubt and something looks off, just move along.

I came to this place a while back and enjoyed the food. Been back several times since after the first good experience and it's been horribly inconsistent. This time (weekday lunch) was disgusting. My two kids who usually eat any Chinese food whatsoever even thought it was "gross". I had we had to set aside many dirty plates to find a remotely clean one.Food was all so old and has been under the heat lamps a long time. I couldn't finish my one plate. Never again.

Thought about giving this one two stars...Run of the mill Chinese restaurant, big place, lots of seating. Has a decent number of buffets with large food selection. Some of the food has a variation I haven't really tried before, like the Crab meat ragoon was a little different than normal. Waitresses seemed like they had to be there, weren't very nice. Actually heard one of them very disgustingly clear their throat a couple of times. Bathrooms were very sub-par cleaned.Oh, and my fortune cookie sucked. Haha.Wouldn't necessarily go back before I would go to one of the nicer Thai places in town.

Very pleasantly surprised by this Chinese buffet restaurant near the Festival Grocery store in Sheboygan. We had a 10% off coupon from the local paper so we stopped by. The staff was polite. The facilities were clean although a bit worn. The food was fresh and was being frequently refreshed.

I had better buffets before and this one is on the very bottom of my list. Honestly the employees look like they are unhappy working here because I would be. First off, the woman's restroom is nasty and the vent looks like it hasn't ever been clean before. Food variety is very poor and hard. The only thing that I liked was the ice cream in a deep freezer that are individual cups. Carpeted was worn out and torn. There were fruit flys around the dessert table. This buffet needs a new management. Looks like the owner of this place does not care about its customers and employees.

Gotta find the right day, when it's slow you can taste it but when is busy that's when it's best to come in, the food is great on the right day. Restaurant needs a touch up of modern to give it more life but at the same time it's nostalgic with the old material in there.
