Mullin's Short Stop

Cute drive in. Food was ok. Prices a little on the higher side. Staff is friendly. Ice cream cone price stated $5.25. Too steep for me.

I was free wheeling lunch and dumped my planned spot in the area, I'm living on the edge today. I saw this in town in the morning before it opened and looked at the menu and thought $7.45 for a cheeseburger is high compared to Milwaukee's custard stands and I could probably get a bar burger down the street for that money.This is an old school drive in with the young high school girls taking your order from your vehicle and they bring it back to you. I was not expecting much when I ordered the cheeseburger from a drive in because the reviews don't really tell anything about the burgers.OMG before I even opened up the burger wrapper my first thought was dam that smells like fresh beef. My second thought was dam that's not bad looking and it's a half pounder so I opened it up. My third thought was that looks like a course ground hand formed patty, fresh beef and no frozen hockey pucks here. I kept it simple with lettuce, tomatoes, onions and ketchup.My first bite was like that's not dry at all and the beef has a nice beef flavor. The bun was a perfect bun because it was a softer style and not the dry dense kind but hearty enough not to fall fall apart from all that beef. I didn't even bother asking for rare with the young cooks but it was cooked about medium with some pink left in the middle. The toppings were fresh but the onions were super thin sliced and soft, I would have asked for extra had I have known.I'm impressed that a small drive in takes the burgers seriously and uses top quality ingredients. I definitely would recommend getting a burger here and I'm going to post some good pictures to show my great experience.

I've heard so many great reviews about this place from my family living in the area so I decided to check it Mullin's. You have couple of options of dining which I didn't know about.... you can sit at one of the picnic tables or you can stay in the vehicle and one of the servers will take your order and when the order ready, they will deliver it to the car on a tray that will be attached to the car window. The car hop, had walked over to my car had greeted me and tooked my order. The menu is very limited. I had opted to try the Cheeseburger, fries and the strawberry shake. Within a few minutes, she had brought the tray to the car. The burger was really fresh and large. The fries were really crispy while the shake was just as good as other reviews had stated.I would recommend this drive-in, if you are in the area. I would return for another burger.

What a super cute place to stop!I didn't even know this place existed until a friend of mine checked into it on Facebook. The next day we were wanting ice cream so we decided to check it out. Definitely has the old time feel, and the prices are reasonable. The servings are HUGE!!! I definitely didn't need that much, but it was very good! We'll definitely stop again sometime this summer! I want to try some of their food out!

So good! Burgers are great. Fat fries, crispy onion rings, and the strawberry shake has real strawberries in it! A must eat at least once a season.

This place is a Real treat for young and old. You can order from your vehicle or outside from the several picnic tables available. The food is homemade including the root beer. When was the last time you saw a black cow on the menu? The beer battered cheese curds are good and the steak sandwich is about as good as it can get. A real steak about an inch thick, tender and tasty. Have been here before for burgers which are very tasty. Because of the outside or in your vehicle seating this place is only open seasonal. I liked their Facebook page last year and was able to see their posts when they open and close for the season.

Food was very good. Had the cheeseburger delux. It was huge with fresh vegetables and lean meat. Frys were good with a chive sour cream dip. Root beer cold and refreshing. Service was fast and attentive. We sat outside on a picnic table in the shade. It was 80 but there was a cool breeze. It's nostalgic and a fun place to eat. No low cal here but a nice treat!!!

I love all the treats Black Cow fries Barbecue get on out and eat.Vanilla Cones huge, broasted chicken great.

Haven't been back since 2015. When they screwed up my order so bad and lied about it.. this is just the short version of the story..I've worked customer support via phone and in person(including in a restaurant).. never recieved worse service in my life. I wouldn't be suprised if they delete this review too. I've tried 2 other times to leave reviews in places.. they delete the comment and review then block me

Pretty good food and shakes. Nice atmosphere and staff. Definitely try the onion rings.
