Mrs Rivers Bakery and Smokehouse Cafe

Stopped for a late breakfast. This is a smallish restaurant with very friendly staff. The menu is fairly extensive so I think there is something for everyone. The serving portion was good sized; I ended up taking half my meal home for later. It is a somewhat of a hidden gem in this area, while on a major street, the busy traffic can make you miss it. It has a cute and brightly lit decor, perfect for a small group of friends to have breakfast and catch up.

The greeting staff were very friendly and helpful, which is a huge plus in a day when good customer service is hard to find. My husband had the beef brisket and homemade chips. He was very pleased with his pick, enjoying the pickle as well. I had the two meat dishes (pulled pork and beef brisket) both excellent! My side dishes were the corn casserole (Thanksgiving quality) and coleslaw which was fair. We were given a free cookie with our meal order - a nice personal touch. We ended our dinner by sharing an amazing key lime cheesecake. Mrs. Rivers pies are superb! We highly recommend it!

Great little breakfast/lunch spot in Sturtevant. Food was delicious, service was excellent. Worth taking home some scratch made baked sweet for later! The owner came out to personally greet us. Nice touch! Will definitely be back.

Would rate 200 out of 5 if the app allowed. Hade the chuck,brisket,short ribs burger with cheddar.The best burger I've eaten in Wisconsin. EVER. My wife had an omelet with melted swiss and fresh spinach and she loved it. The quality of the ingredients and the passion and love in preparation shines. Took scones ,brownies, a strawberry rhubarb pie home. Did I mention the cinnamon rolls were gooey,warm,and about 6 inches in diameter? Wife also had an outstanding cappuccino. Ate here a couple times. Great local restaurant! The desserts are amazing and gotta try the brisket dog. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and the place is always clean!

We love this place! Highly recrecommend. Super clean and quaint. Have had breakfast and lunch, (homemade soups) large portions, the coleslaw was the best I've ever had. Food is fresh with homemade bakery items as well. Hubby had a brisket skillet. fantastic! And the owners smoke their own meats. Great service. Can't wait to try their dinner menu! Small place, seats about 35.

Service has gone down and prices have gone up .they tried to sell us a 4 day old muffin, most of the food is good

Went there for breakfast today. Ordered the build your own skillet, very good and the fresh fruit cup was nice mix of good fruit. The staff was cheerful and friendly. Definitely be going back for more

I stopped for dinner recently. The food is delicious! Try the Chicken Marsala Gnocchi soup. It's full of large chunks of chicken, veggies and gnocchi in a wonderful creamy broth. Best soup I've ever had! The Smokehouse salad was also very good. Come early fora seat or carry out. You won't be disappointed!
