I come here with the sole intention of buying fresh meat. Sure, I may grab other items after my visit to the meat counter, but the meat is why I show up.This is the kind of place where I don't bicker over prices, because I can usually get what I want and the way I want it. More so, ...the meat is delicious.This fantastic market is in a very nice spot right on highway 60. The parking lot is large enough to satisfy even their busiest rushes. The entrance is at pavement level with no steps.The employees are very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable in what they do. I'm pleased to have this market in our community.

I haven't experienced something as good as sandwiches made with fresh ingredients and a great soup. Just a great lunch. If you're passing by, be sure to stop by. Among other things, you will be surprised by the low price!

Yummy. My husband has been stopping off at this new for us treasure when he goes through town. I finally was able to stop with him on a day/time they were open. Check their schedule. This is a deli/bakery place that does catering. There are a few tables inside where you can lunch right there with a freshly made sandwich and soup. They carry Biarshead deli meats and have a meat counter with cuts of steaks etc. the deli area has various salads and sandwiches made to order. And the bakery area has delicious desserts. A great alternative to fast food if you are traveling through or eating a low carb diet as you can get some slices of lunchmeat and cheese, stick sausage etc. but it is hard to stay away from the awesome bakery which we did try once.I had a peanut mallow bar that was unusual but satisfying. That same stop we ordered sandwiches and the were thick with meat and on a great tasting bun. They also have hot specials if your eating there or live close by. Their ham salad is delicious.Service has always been friendly and helpful.

M J's is an awesome, no frills little market in Hartford. If you visit the area often or live somewhere in Washington County, you're probably already familiar with this place. If not, you should go check it out sometime. They have a great deli and meat market with some of the best cuts, selection, and prices! I will say that the fresh meat selections ARE predominately beef or pork but they also have some seafood and chicken. Frozen items consist more heavily of various types of fish. M J's also offers a small selection of bakery and pastries as well as the option to purchase made-to-order sandwiches.A couple of the things M J's is really known for: their thick cut bacon, their tuna salad, steak, sausage, and filet mignon. This place is perfect for picking up delicious items to toss on the grill!

TOTALLY IGNORANT! After all the sickness and death in the United States, this business continues to violate the mask mandate. Masks are optional for both patrons AND employees. I had to stop and take a look for myself. Hope you have a good contact tracing system in place. Stay safe and healthy! Avoid the risk here as it is not worth the chance.

This place has and always will be my go to! So nice to always see smiling faces. Everything is always so fresh and never a disappointment. Not once have I been dissatisfied. For all the covid concerned people leaving crap Yelp reviews. STAY HOME. Don't trash a small business based upon your political beliefs from the election infection. Support local and keep it that way! Love this place headed out the door there now for some beef and beef sticks.

Had the Pulled pork and pulled Chicken at a catered work function today. It was pretty darn good. The Mac and Cheese was good as well but nothing special. I was not a fan of the coleslaw.

Always wonderful service! The prices are great, and the staff is extremely helpful. We've ordered for large gatherings, holidays and more and have always had a great experience.

Wonderful food..Disapointed that they are doing nothing to protect against Covid19.No masks..no distance from customer..no gloves..staff needs to take the virus seriously..

This premium Deli serves wonderful meal plan options. Our favorites are the chicken cordon bleu and the pork pinwheels as well as the teriyaki chicken skewers. They have a nice selection of fresh daily made salads including wild rice stuffing. A great small town grocery store with just about everything you need to prepare that next family meal. A nice Bakery as well as fresh Subs for the lunch visitor. Adequate parking handicap access. Nice lighting great display. Clean store and comfortable. Professional friendly service.If you need custom cut Meats or catering for a large event an M & J market and catering is a place to go.
