Miriams Bakery

Miriam's Bakery is a wonderland of treats from great donuts, bismarcks and other eat-right-there-in-the-car treasures, to every kind of bar, bread, buns, breakfast squares and pies. Not to mention Amish candies and chocolates, refrigerated salads, cheeses . Cookies! Convenient just a block off of hwy 57 on your way to Door County in Fredonia, ck it out.

The bakery was smaller than I expected and wasn't noticeable at all from the outside but the prices were pretty great and affordable. Coming from Milwaukee and not able to find a menu online we weren't sure how much money to bring (they don't take cards. CASH ONLY) but with $60 we were set with 3 adults and a hungry toddler! There were cool photos and articles all over the walls about miriam and if you've done any digging on the place and miriam it was a very cool find!

So many good things on offer here. Savory egg bakes, quiche, scones, and sandwich pull aparts. Cookies. Snickerdoodles and molasses are my favorites. Cookies are soft and chewy rather than crisp. A variety of Sweet breads. I love that seasonal fruits are featured in baked goods. Peach scones. Cherry squares. Strawberry rhubarb. Though I'd like more rhubarb flavor since I love it so much. I'm not a huge donut fan so haven't tried many but I can say I'm obsessed with the apple cider donuts!!! Oh my gosh. Best donut ever. Hot ham and the most amazing pillowy hard rolls made in house. Saturday and Sunday. Day's offerings are often posted on their FB page.

Honestly, it's an adorable local bakery. I found myself in need of some baked goods last minute, so I stopped in. Unfortunately, they only accept cash or check and all I had was my debit card. They gave me my items with an IOU. That's pretty unheard of these days. I will be coming back to repay the shop and buy more goods. The friendliness of the staff and the atmosphere make this a gem. Please stop and support this local business.

Pricey! Stollen over $10 and not big. Cinnamon rolls could have used more cinnamon. Blueberry scone was good but pricey. Blueberry coffee cake didn't have much blueberry! Person who waited on me not too friendly. Won't go back!

A wonderful little bakery. The apple cider donuts are delicious, the scones are tasty (not dry) and the lemon pie has a flakey crust and just the right amount of lemon. Miriam is friendly with a smile for everyone who comes it. It is so close to Milwaukee, you don't want to miss it.

Always great no matter what you are getting. Always served with a smile and a thank you.
